One solution method is to calculate a single objective function to minimize. The objective (sum of squared errors of constraint residuals) should be zero at the solution when the equations are satisfied.

Great tutorial, thanks. Please, how do I use excel to plot a system of nonlinear equations like this one: x^2 - y^2 +x -y -2 = 0 (1) x^2 + y^2 +4x -2y -20 = 0 (2)

You can change the equation to anything that excel supports.

sir can we solve equation of 5 variables ?

Yes, but Excel solver isn't very good for anything more complex. I recommend either MATLAB or Python when you have multiple equations: apmonitor.com/che263/index.php/Main/PythonSolveEquations and here are some exercises: github.com/APMonitor/data_science/blob/master/10.%20Solve_Equations.ipynb
