Christian Alvestam and Solution 45 never dissapointing me

Älvestam never disappoints!

This makes me moist... I dont think s45 can write bad music.. Damn those Swedes and their talent.

Great to have Solution .45 back with another album. Enjoyed a great deal their last one. Have always been a fan of Christian. The hook in the chorus is great!

album is sounding awesome!! one of the top metal albums of 2015!! COUNT ON IT!!!

S .45 knows how to keep it heavy, melodic and catchy! Their music makes me feel like my soul is flying through space!

You guys should teach Wintersun on what it takes to issue albums with long time intervals yet still keeping everything solid and not disappointing!

This is pretty much why I exclusively listen to melodeath. Especially progressive style melodeath.

+Alberto Delgado Whispered is an awesome Finnish Melodeath band with samurai tinged lyrics and riffs. Into Eternity and Disarmonia Mundi are also pretty awesome. Scar Symmetry is the vocalists previous band and I'd say that their stuff is a bit better than Solution .45s (it's all awesome though).

Alberto Delgado Well, I can account for my own taste only but my favourites are Torchbearer, Insomnium, The Duskfall (preferably their older stuff), MyGrain, Amon Amarth and also Disarmonia Mundi but Flint mentioned them already..

Outstanding, this is the 10th time I've listened to it today I eagerly await the album

I honestly think this is one of the best songs that Christian has ever done. They've really stepped up their game since the first album.

As much as I hate comparing bands in similar (or in this case same genre), this song has a heavy feel of "Limits to Infinity" from Scar Symmetry. Not that it's bad or anything, just an observation from a fan of both titans in the progdeath genre.

+Mad Martian Industries Agreed, It would much better if the tunes of the clean vocals changed like the songs from the last S.45 Album, and I'm not feeling those notoriously beastly bass guitar lines, but I'll listen to it on my car system to see if it's my current surround sound setup that's lacking in sound quality. The lyrics are deep as ever and tell a good story.... but... but .... but but but........ it just goes on and on and on and on without showing anything new, Clandestinity Now was a song that was just sent from the heavens, and 15 minutes into that song, it didn't even sound like how it started... every line of vocals and notes were different than the last so you never "expected" anything, it always hit you like an unsuspecting gust. I'm a hardcore Solution 45 fan and will listen to this song a few times, but the release of this song doesn't change the fact that the rest of the Album is on the top of my to-do list... after all, there's always that one song that you just can't get into... well, except for every singly song on the previous album.

Not a big fan of the production so far, gotta be honest. One of the reasons the first album was so ridiculously good was because of the contrast between the thundering, heavy instrumentals and the super melancholic clean vocals. The production on For Aeons Past was perfect. This track, on the other hand, sounds very flat. At least on first listen. I'll wait to hear the rest of the album though.

I totally agree with you about the production. It definitely sounds flat and reminds me more of the latest Miseration album than Solution .45. The production on the first record was perfect. Everything sounded so crisp, clear, and balanced. I really hope the quality is better on the physical copy of the cd or I will be so disappointed.

Sounds a little bland. Like it's missing something that the first album had. Maybe it'll grow in time. Who knows.

Oh Wow! the girly singing is so mean, i'm scared.

Personally, I'm let down by the lyrics more than anything. They feel disjointed and awkward, especially in contrast to Mikael Stanne's contribution on the first album. Is Alvestam writing them himself this time around? Or is someone else in?

Fair enough, though personally I don't think being good at something is a requirement to understand and criticize. Of course, I think I can justify it because I'm not writing it off or calling it shit because of it - they're just not the standard I expected from either Alvestam or especially Stanne, like you said it just doesn't flow particularly well. I'm curious to hear what the actual album is like, especially musically since frankly I can look past awkward lyrics if the instrumentation is on point and if it's anything like the last album we should be in good hands. (Though this track didn't impress me in that department either, so I am a bit concerned)

The lyrics and music of this song sound contrived and meaningless. It sounds completely uninspired. I really miss the Pitch Black Progress/Holographic Universe era.

until the clean vocals set in it didn't sound bad - I'm out!
