he solubility test is used primarily to restrict the amount of coke and/or mineral matter(Marble Dust) in bitumen. Because of the simplicity of the test, most methods are very similar and are to all intents directly comparable.In this video we will learn how to perform solubility test in lab.

Why did you put the flask in the oven for an hour instead of knowing that it's weight would be completely equal as it was before ? Meaning less test in my opinion

As per IS 73 -2013 Table 1 Solubility in trichloroethylene, percent should be Min 99% for all types of bitumen.

If some water is present you can heat upto 130 degree otherwise 90 degree is sufficient.
