We must always be engaged, at capacity. We fill in the empty spaces of our daily lives with the superficial. We live in a way that erroneously equates speed and efficiency to value and worth. But what happens when we slow down? We value the price of our lives as the time we spend instead of the time we save.
Take the time to invest in the slowness around you. Explore the texture of the world and the playfulness of the ordinary. In partnership with VELUX we followed our friends Dylan Buffington and Chris Burkard as they spent their time this summer solstice focused on one goal: riding from dawn until dusk. Like the sun's longest journey across the sky, this film has an arch; it is an expression of the sun and riders’ journeys in parallel.

Inspired me to ride across the San Rafael bridge in case they ever close down the bike lane. It's worth doing once but kinda crap compared to riding around Marin.

Beautiful footage. Not sure how slow these guys were taking it though. 218 miles in a day is a lot of miles on a bike.

I once rode from San Jose to Yosemite Valley non-stop, but I do not recall the dramatic music. It might have helped though…
