@samuelsellers3829 I see, do you desire to catch bass, do you want to target trout in a stream, do you want to go for bluegill, and also what weight lures do you want to throw, as well as treblehooks vs jigs I own a mavllos plume in spinning and casting, it's a solid tipped rod I own the zephyr bfs rod, I use it for streams, it is also solid tipped, now that I cast extremley well, it limits my stream trout ability, but was great to pratice on. I hope to switch to glass I have tried a dobyns sierra bfs rod, stiff but good for your bass fishing. Is solid tipped Acehawk cu double is a solid tipped rod, plume is the better rod but both are in the same XUL category Jdm wise... Majorcraft has the troutist, the banshee, and finetail series, high end, be mindful that they are two different models, one for streams and one for stillwater XUL style fishing. Palms is another option Diawa has silver creek models .999 mieser Lots of good options, some glass some rods Diawa and shimano also have bass style bfs rods in their lineups, so does majorcraft Personally, if you want my true opinion, after owning 4+ reels and quite a few bfs rods, I find the most versatility in a high quality jdm spinning reel and jdm/cdm rod. Most of my fishing is open water, and despite what the gurus say, spinning will outcast bfs when compared to jdm spinning reels with jdm line. I perfer my bfs systems now for bass fishing around cover, and trouting in streams with lots of cover. Though truthfully casting with spinning can get to the extremes as well, in fact many Japanese use spinning in streams to get under overhanging branches more and the lure isn't being pulled by a spool. They have also migrated over from bfs back to spinning for bass, as now bass are so heavily pressured over in japan they have designated UL spinning models speckficially for bass fishing, micro 3 inch finesse worms, or micro plugs.

@@12345B I was planing on bass but also if I could cast trout spoons on the rod it would be great also I need a rod that will hold up to bigger fish because for some reason I catch monsters when I have my ultra light gear

@samuelsellers3829 I see, truthfully all those rods will handle big fish, the diameters of the tips are more for lure weight, If spoons are around 2-4 grams and bass stuff will be 4-8 grams ace hawk venom and cu double are good options, cu double has two tips, a UL and a L, both are solid. It's 37ish. Venom is better for two handed casting for bass Diawa blazon is a good jdm bass bfs rod
