💬 LESSON DESCRIPTION:
This is the 4-year anniversary of Sound Guitar Lessons.
Four years ago, I posted my first video on KZread.
Since then, I have published a lesson video every single Tuesday.
I thought it would be fun to go back through the 50 lessons that I made this year, pick out my 10 favorites, and feature a clip from each of them.
I count down from 10, ending with my favorite video this year!
I put links directly to each of the videos in the description so you can go deeper if you want to.
I think this will be fun!

Loved it! You are the boss! Not only are your videos excellent in every respect, content, production, detail etc, but you as a presenter are very watchable. I don't know how you manage a new course every week without drying up! I find is impossible to keep up with your pace. Still working on Misty and will be for sometime to come!

It’s been a great year of lessons! I’d say your best. It’s nice to have this strong collection all together here to access for practice. I really like them all but my favorites are #4 and #8

If I had to pick one of these it might be the finger picking "exercise" ... I put quotes cuz it makes real music that doesnt sound like a traditional exercise.

I've thoroughly enjoyed watching this channel over the past year & I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with next year. Some ideas I had for next year: -I really loved your lesson on Harmonics. I wonder if you could do a lesson on tuning (and the many multiple ways you can tune) as well as diving into the 'physics' of it. Julian Lage tunes his guitar here at 1h 11 mins: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Zm1_2cSOYMu6Y9o.html and I'd love to get an explanation as to what he's doing. -I'd also love to see you cover how you'd solo over a 4 chord Pop/Rock progression that has one 'odd' chord (which is non-diatonic), and so perhaps would require an Arpeggio / Melodic Cell-based approach? -I'd also love to see some technique breakdowns (with specific exercises to practice) on thing like: Tapping, Sweeping, Legato, Harmonics etc., as well as videos on things like LH muting, Hybrid Picking, Your Favourite Guitar Books/Resources -Finally could you do a Chord Melody Arrangement of Amazing Grace (as well as maybe adding in some passing chords or diminished?) - I'd love to learn that piece and think it lends itself to this style. Lots to cover (and I'm not asking for much 🤣), but I'm just happy to be along for the ride.

Thank you so much for your continued support! I explain what Julian Lage does in that clip in one of my tuning videos: kzread.info/dash/bejne/foyHw8d9dbeZndY.htmlsi=zafuWmdVk4HjXyOX&t=754 I explain one way to target non-diatonic chords in this video. I think this is close to what you're asking for: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hWiDwcppYZTMo5s.htmlsi=RR3IlqDHAx7HXrC-&t=95 I'll save the Amazing Grace chord melody idea. Lots of cool stuff to do with the harmony on that one! Thanks again 🙏
