Have you used magic lock at all? It has been one of my favorite spells, was even more fun with multiclass because I could lock and pop sanctuary AND get some zaps back with a quick combat sit

I’ve actually been using it recently now that I’m back to running 10-spell. I mainly use it defensively to allow myself time to clear mobs or heal, but occasionally get the opportunity to trap someone in a room with me with it.

I've gotten blue and green treasure from barrels.

Hmmmm I haven’t and the wiki says their loot table for treasure only goes up to white. I’ve gotten higher rarity gear, but never treasure.

On your grind to Demigod, did you not fight bosses because you'd don't know how to, or because it would be less efficient?

I learned Troll on an alt but dealing with the unrelenting rats just made the game not fun. The GC loot rooms put the boss-killer at an insane disadvantage if they are ranged because they are trapped downhill at a dead-end. Plus I take pride in not jumping on the meta. A lot of players have claimed that staff mastery is a must-have in GC and I wanted to prove them wrong :)

9:55 The warlock. Why would you be afraid of his build. Went heavy on strength for melee. You're a fast-casting wiz, just kite, right? I'd rather be you then him in that matchup. Nice vid btw. Seems like you had to very meticulously dissect everything in order to get demigod lol. I'm Voyager I right now, and not looking forward to the grind. As of late, I've just been playing how I want without the calculation.

I just don’t like being so predictable. The Warlock is expecting a counter so if he has an invis potion near the loot room doors and I sneak in thinking he’s down below, I die. He knows exactly where Im gonna be coming from, but I can’t be sure where he will be. That’s only happened to me once but it was enough to make me not want to risk it again, especially not against a player that I know can practically 1-shot me with melee. Also, if I am the first one to counter and then another guy comes in and pinches me between him and the Warlock, I’m dead as well. At the end of the day, it’s high-risk, high-reward and would probably turn a profit over time, but for my sanity I steered into the “slow and steady” approach where I pretty much guarantee myself some positive AP each run, and if the boss-killer runs into me in less predictable circumstances, I might fight then and get a surprise loot piñata.

@@SqueakyFrank Makes sense. I'm not sure I have the sanity to grind to demigod this season. I did do it last season, however.

@@Axel-vt8no A lot of players feel the same. It certainly is more difficult this season. I’m curious if the opinion will change once rewards are announced.

@@SqueakyFrank Perhaps. I think it would be fine if we had 3 layer ruins back for solos. Portal harvesting and going to lower levels made it feel reasonably obtainable but still hard.
