Love watching you play magsorc. I finally got back onto mine properly yesterday after the servers were upgraded and man, what a difference having actual performance makes for the class. I mean, all classes rely on performance, but for sorcerer (mag especially), it's literally a matter of the class being playable or not. I'm re-learning the rotations again, my defensive rotation is pretty solid again after only a few spawns, but I still need to re-adjust for properly timing the overload toggle, it's so different to using other ultimates where you just slam the button as needed, so it's taking me a bit to relearn that skill. But it has been super fun to finally jump back on my main, even with near max pop greyhost with ball groups and after a fight, not be left wondering if I died due to lag/bugs, they were a better player or I just got caught out/careless (90% of the time it was lag/bugs). It was eye opening to see just how many of the "good"/"sweaty" players were only killing me due to lag/bugs too, that now really struggle/can't kill me anymore now that my skills actually work, my damage has also shot up now that lag doesn't block my skills from firing/landing on the targets and they have to actively respond to my pressure instead of letting the lag mitigate all my damage for them.

I agree, I can even stream during primetime since the lag doesn't hinder that anymore and it's a really nice thing for magsorc. I'd say this class and dizzy swing enjoyers were always the most vulnerable to lag. Btw at this point when I open read more on one of your comments I expect nothing less than a wall of text :p

Malcolm is the best magsorc I see playing in PVP, if zenimax watches this video it gives a big nerf to the sorcerer immediately claiming that the class is very strong and not taking into account that there is a great master class playing.

Zenimax knows exactly his skill, no nerfs because of him. He has been highlighted on the forums for a long time. I wish i had half his skill. And he's helped so many of us by his explanations to get better.

Magsorc is still only really truly playable at that level for those with a lot of skill and mastery of the class (and when performance is not primetime laggy). The buffs they gave the class still haven't done anything to fix it for the average player and even most above average players still struggle with it. That said, it doesn't need a lot, just give it a 1 bar, non pet, instant cast, burst heal that allows for block casting heals and it will be in a good spot.

Hey Malcolm, i've been using your hybrid sorc build, maras, wretched, and Agility (no mythic unfortunately), and its performing really well! However I wanted to ask if you would have any new ideas on substituting maras once the new patch nerf comes online? I dont know if Maras would still be viable once the nerf comes in so I really wanted to ask if there are plans to update the hybrid sorc build. thanks!!

It's great that sorc has become relevant again even with the tiny buff given to shields (would be nice to have a burst heal tho) and now the servers are being done hopefully a lot of the d-sync builds might also disappear as well or not work 😂. Loved this mate. :👍 🪄

Great stuff. How do you get your HP over 30K with High Elf, all max magicka glyphs and 64 points into magicka ? I can't seem to get my health that high with this setup ? Is it the effect of Death Dealers Fete in combat ?

The build in this video is the healthsorc from the guide (maras balm draugrkin all points into health). But even with the max mag build I still have 30+k health due to food, trainee, undaunted passive, chudan, ddf and expert summoner though you can count out the latter cause it's not always active when you only use hardened ward.

Is this one of the builds you were showcasing in your build video?

Well the camera rotation speed is an issue there for using streak properly, though I've seen some people manage.

Retired 1800+ cp hotp mag sorc/templar/dk/nb ww here. I really enjoyed eso, but the reason I quit was its broke ass pvp. 10 guys chase one person round and round the keep, cool game bro.

I remember playing battlegrounds against this sorc like the one from this video when I couldn't hit him at all, couldn't deal any damage and I died so fast you have no idea. his movement speed was incredible. his score was 41-0. no idea how.

Somehow my magsorc gameplay doesn't look like that. Sure it is the build, or Malcom just is lucky with his opponents or some hack 😅

This is what i imagine myself when i build a toon for pvp but when i get to campaign, i get killed by adds from farms, mills, etc 😂 not even from players😂..i even join a group tryna kill players but i got hella nervous during group fights and killed a few innocent bugs and snakes around the area just bcuz i dont know who to aim at😂😂 i did the jumping between each attacks too and somehow im collecting torchbug in a middle of a duel..😂😂😂🤷idk man, i tried..🤦‍♂️haha

It's fine for top players, not much different for average players. The tank meta combined with lack of access to the strongest defense option of a block cast heal is keeping it in its current spot of bottom 3 classes, although the nerfs to Cro and plar has dropped them down, so sorcs not exactly THE bottom class anymore. DK and NB are just so far ahead and warden is far enough ahead of the other 3 classes theres no point playing the other 3 unless you want a challenge, just mess around, or are as skilled on the class as someone like Malcolm.

You will definitely be surprised. PC playes have like 10k average more HP than on console. And PC players will rip right through you before you can react 😂

ha surely PVP has nothing about skills, all about who has the highest PING and lowest amount of lag. My sorcerer's BLINK can lag nearly 1 sec, so cool.

Heyyyy, rejoice! Pc EU got new servers so there’s much less lag now^^ and Malcolm is streaming again so you can pop in to see him live sometime, he does get streak delays too :D

You are a ghost, every time you receive a hit you are healed by magic, the stuns do not last even half a second, you roll 4 times in a row and the stamina does not even move, you do not receive even half the damage they cause you. However, you make a blow for half a second and put like 4 skills in a row, you leave everyone stunned and even if you are slowed down you run more than anyone. It doesn't seem to me that you are good, it seems to me that you either live under the server or use hackers.

We don’t live under the server (we are not near Frankfurt) and Malcolm doesn’t use exploits. What you are seeing is skill:)

@@ognevkafenella9741 so I'm sure he uses a VPN, the normal thing for cirodyll is to have 150-250 ping, he plays at 80-100, basically he doesn't get even half the damage that they hit him, apart from that, every time they hit him, he gets healed I don't understand where they come from. So the combat seems to me a deception, and if by skill you mean rolling 4 times, removing the stuns instantly, and then throwing a heavy blow with 2 skills at the same time... Everyone knows how to do it, the question It's that he doesn't have lag and every hit he receives is healed without explanation
