The revised Perilous Wilds has a system-neutral dungeon generation as well that I've been using for solo games for weeks. It's fantastic!

Perilous Wilds may just be the best published role playing material EVER.

Definitely! I’m less familiar with Ironsworn’s creator’s recent work (still need to check out Starforged) but Perplexing Ruins has absolutely been killing it with his stellar output recently!
Love the tip with the binder sheet!

I just found your video and channel on the recommendation of Matt Jackson's videos. Thank you so much for these suggestions! I'm just getting into solo roleplaying and have assembled a lot of resources, but these that you have suggested I think will be extremely useful in organizing everything and streamlining play.

That's awesome to hear! :D
This is where Perplexing Ruins was first introduced to me. It has inspired me to generate my own generation worksheets. My hexcrawl template is largely based on Sandbox Generator by Atelier Clandestine and is perfect for Solo play and group play, alike. The Dungeon generator is proving to be more challenging to design.
Im a year late but this was great! My friend and I have been trying to create a Garden of Eden style dungeon with some smaller floors above it. We have alot of ideas for different floor themes but Ive been lost on trying to put something interesting on every floor. This looks like it will help a lot
Nice overview, I will check some of these out!
That sheet from perplexed ruins seems brilliant. Thanks!

It is!! I use it a ton for quick games.
Another interesting and informative video. I love Deck or Many Dungeons! When I want a bigger dungeon, I make it multi-level by using the king as a staircase instead of final room.

@@Chaoclypse To keep an element of surprise, you roll at the start of each new level to see if it's the last one or if it goes on deeper.
@Chaoclypse

@@martinouellet3540 That's a really simple and neat way of doing it! I'll actually give it a shot myself as well. Just off the top of my head, this probably benefits from having a "threshold", like, you have to roll at or under your current level on a die in order to end a dungeon. So, on level 4, it's way higher of a chance for the dungeon to end than on level 1. The die type can affect it too - D4 makes it end much sooner, and D10 makes for a much longer dungeon! Might be something worth trying!

Yeah, it's really great! I was aware of cyclic dungeon generation for a few years due to Unexplored - it's interesting how well it carries over to TTRPGs!

Late to the party but I really hope you’ll delve into the cyclic generation and how you implement it into solo play..( I’ll be pondering this for days I’m sure lol)
So happy to find your channel! Great advice. This came at the perfect time for me, since I was feeling kind of lost in the all the options we have for solo play these days.

Thank you so much Matt! The tools we use have some cross-over, and I've actually been introduced to a bunch due to your videos. I recently found another one just called "Sandbox Generator" on DTRPG that is very good indeed, and has a very classic feel to the results, so I thought you might be interested! It has settlement, hex, dungeon, etc generators and it goes into a lot of detail.

This is a very informative video. Dungeon shelving (and hexcrawling) can be great fun in solo gaming. I’m familiar with the products that you recommend and agree that they’re excellent. I have to admit to not looking into Delve much and you’ve inspired me to give it another look. Thank you for sharing.
