I love Food Chain Island! It's actually the game that got me to realize how great solo games can be. You are right, though, that it's prone to analysis paralysis, but I don't view that as much of an issue for a solo game, since you don't have anyone else that's waiting one you.

Yes, that's totally right. 😁 Although, I do prefer my solo games to be less analysis paralysis heavy, but Food Chain Island is an exception since I really enjoy the game. 👍

Only question you ate with polar bear twice at the end. Do the ocean cards override that?

The last ocean card let me eat any animal, no matter its value. This is why I was able to eat the last animal. Is that what you mean? 🤔

@@SirThecos The polar bear's power doesn't allow you to eat with it twice in a row. You did. So the question is, does the Shark's power override the Polar Bear's power?

That is an excellent question! Hm...I'd say probably not but I don't know. Maybe someone else has asked the question in the BGG forum of the game. 👀

This game looks interesting, but I wonder what is the replay value like? It seems like the game would feel pretty similar each time you play it?

Well, you do have the unpredictability of where the cards initially are. But yes, the puzzle itself that is presented is quite similar each time. I don't play the game as often as I used to at the beginning.

I think you can only order them on the Button Shy webpage but, of course, you'll need to consider the shipping costs. I usually add games to a Kickstarter project I back.
