After watching "Four Days" and studying the activities, I set up a similar four-day solo exercise here (Alberta, Canada). While I was out, the heatwave hit, 122 F/90% humidity. Thank God for mountain streams & past military service. Pro-tip to everyone: don't ever try this alone, bring a phone, gauge and personal locator. I could've died.

Corporal! That's awesome af! Construction trash meets bushcraft... Trashcraft!! The 150 people who gave thumbs down don't realize that an overwhelming majority of the population will be utilizing that approach in a true survival situation, either because of total infrastructure collapse and their urban proximity, or because a natural disaster has rearranged all their resources and now they're inconveniently camping... I'd love to see more of these videos. Really makes a person think outside the box. Thank you sir!

Good advice about the wash. I use Tyvek as a ground cloth. I've never washed my ground cloth tyvek but I have a few of those reflective bivvy bags made of the same material with a reflective coating inside and I have washed them. They are so much nicer to use after a wash.

@@wyliegibson319 It's basically a matter of breaking up the fibers so they aren't so rigid. So hand washing and air drying in a breeze or wind will do the same. Or if you can't wash then scrunching up the fabric (as what happens with use) will also work.

I established a new career from my own hobby (loading ammo and with help from God) And have been enjoying the beauty of mountain, lake and forest for 20 years now. Radiograph was great, inspection fantastic, But at 68 years young I'm a full time baby sitter for my grand son. He and I love your videos! How about making a video of camping with no shelter at all? Most times camping you my only have very limited time to build fire, eat roll out a sleeping bag get up coffee breakfast and on the trail by first light?

Love the info on the poison ivy. I always assumed that was what it looked like after it died. Its amazing how hardened and thick that vine gets over time. I had a gew trees covered in this and it was serious work to remove it!! Good work soldier!!

That was really cool. I live for the MacGyverisms lol! I was worried about those stick-on grommets, but they seem to have worked. The whole thing was better than I expected. Definitely opens up the mind to possibilities. Great video Corporal!

TIP for reducing noise on Tyvek, crumple it up, then spread it flat, crumple it again, over and over and it will be softer and make a dramatic difference in noise. I use Tyvek all the time camping. Great video, very clever with that hammock!
