Solo Kayak Duck Hunting | Covered Up In Mallards On A Tiny Island!

Спорт

I'd been waiting all season for the opportunity to break out my kayak blind for a solo kayak duck hunting adventure and finally got the perfect opportunity down in South Dakota! We found a large slough that was loaded with mallards, teal, and wigeon feeding along the shoreline as well as a bunch of geese that were loafing there. The birds were pretty spread out so I decided to take the kayak out to a little island in the middle of the slough to give my decoys the best visibility. The kayak blind worked incredibly and I had birds landing and buzzing through my decoys from the time I setup until I limited out. Hope you enjoy!

So sick Thomas! Got my heart pounding watching those drake mallards finish. “Oh Lord, thank you for this opportunity.” 😂😂 I have uttered those words many times when it was that good

It just seemed like the birds wanted to land 10 yards outside of the decoys so I tried to center them up a bit more. That way if they landed on either the left or the right of them I would have good shots
