Try buying a propane filter that screws into the heater itself and then you screw the hose onto the filter. We had the same issue and the filter fixed it right away

Great video. I put a filter from the hose to the heater and it always works well. I do have issues with the 1 lb tanks freezing but I just use the big tank with filter all the time now.

I have a regular Mr. Buddy heater and keep all my top vents open and it always suddenly shuts off after a couple hours or even sooner if I run it hot. I finally figured out that the o2 senors are super sensitive and because the heater doesn't use a method to draw air to it the oxygen was getting depleted at the floor and shutting the heater off so I jammed a soda can under the skirt to allow fresh air at floor level and the heater never went out again over the next 12 hours.

Fly fishing for trout I assume out there in the mountainous areas? That is absolutely on my bucket list! Between movies and fishing shows, especially the fishing shows, it is absolutely a dream of mine to go on a trout fishing excursion! I bought a fly rod a few years back and tried out fly fishing in the Black Hills. Struck out that day, but it was still a lot of fun, so hoping to do it again with someone who knows what they are doing!!!

I'm having issues with my flex also. When it's really cold out, it doesn't want to spark to start the pilot. Also doesn't want to light when hooked to 20 lb tank. Works fine on the 1 lb tank once it's warm.

Buy the hose that mr buddy makes, they use a different rubber that doesn’t break down eliminating the need for a filter. Aside from once or twice needing to use a 1lb to start it I’ve used my big buddy lots with minimal problems. I’m sure the flex is long gone but may be the problem

  • @Icefisher420

I might know what’s wrong with the heater. With my big buddy, if I turn the large 20# tank on too fast it trips the diaphragm in the regulator (In The heater) and when I light the heater just fludders and shuts off. What I have to do is shut off the tank (with pilot on) and run out the line. Then very slowly open the valve on the tank and re light works every time. But if you using the hose with regulator (on the hose) and quick connect disregard this.

Hola amigo, me gustan tus videos. don't leave your heater outside when it's not in use it catches moisture in the cold, the same thing happened to me until I discovered this. If it happens to you again, put it in your truck with the heater at maximum speed. leave it on the front seat for 30 minutes, after that it will work just fine. remember to store your heater in a warm place.

You need to use a hose with a regulator or buy a fuel filter. 20lbs tanks have too much pressure for a regular hose witch is causing rubber/ plastic build up. A regulator will regulate the pressure so you wont have that build up. I have bought 5 and all the same till i figured out the issue. I feel the pain bro, i was stuck at deer camp in 16 degree weather in a fire restriction zone. iv learned to always pack a 0 degree sleeping bag just for emergency.
