Solo Hiking Remote Tasmania - South Coast Track

After 8 days hiking the Western Arthurs and Port Davey Track, I finally made it to the coast. The South Coast Track would complete my Tasmanian adventure and I had been looking forward to it for a long time. It was beautiful, challenging and one I won't forget anytime soon.
🥾Thanks to Pushys for gearing me up for this trek. Check out www.pushys.com.au to grab some quality gear for your next hiking or camping trip.

Awesome video Cam! Can't believe you did it in 3 days!! Did the track a few years ago - barely managed to do it in 6 days. Also, the going down on the Iron Bound Range was tough (physically and mentally) But the whole trip was definitely worth it:)

Loved that video Cam. Most people take 6 days so about 14km/day. Over 3800m of elevation - you have very well trained legs to walk so many hours per day and recover overnight to go again … So your training, nutrition and sleep must be optimal. Honed through experience! I loved the look of that track. Missed having full subtitles but could still pick up most of what you’re saying with a good clear voice and facing the viewers. What a great life you have! Does your wife accompany you at times? Sorry about the essay 😏 No need to reply

@@CamBostock that’s a relief. A few years ago my partner and two friends ran the Port Davey and South Coast Track in a couple of days. She still curses whoever it was took all the oars across to the far side, they hadn’t slept in 36 hours. After about three hours they found a plastic bucket to improvise as a paddle, type 2 fun.

Hi there! Amazing adventures, videos and channel. Congrats! Would it be ok if you share which pack you used for this particular trip? (brand, type, and size in liters). It looks so awesomely small and light!!! I don't know if you have any videos on gear. I'm wanting to change all my gear to lighter. My pack is insanely comfortable but it weighs 2.700kgs which is way too much!!! (deuter 60-70L) Would love to do the SCT with 17kgs max . I know it might be unrealistic for a 7 to 8-day track... (no way I can do 30+ km a day and make it in 3 days like you!!!!!) But it would be so good to hike lighter in general, hoping the pack is also durable and comfortable. Can you comment on that too? Is yours durable, comfortable and light? Thanks a million and keep up exploring!
