Solo for Shruti Box

The shruti box is an Indian instrument typically used to provide a droning accompaniment to either singing or another instrument. I've been wanting to challenge myself by creating a solo piece for this instrument. Due to the mechanisms behind how the shruti box works it was challenging to make something at least a tad bit melodic.

    @@JohnnyMcJim yeah it's basically a very simplified accordian. It uses these small brass reeds to create pitches much in the same way. Thank you for giving this a listen!

    I love the Eno comparison. If you want to hear something more upbeat and percussive on the shruti box check out Lee Holland's channel, I posted a link in the description. His video inspired me to fiddle around with this instrument.
