Wow, you were so lucky not to be swamped with crowds, Brenna. Thanks for showing us some lovely stopovers too. It’s a spectacular drive for sure!
Hi, I was really pleased to find somebody blogging their van life in a realistic manner (being a 50 something solo woman with dog and Hiace myself)..I have only watched a few of your videos, but they are really informative and a truer representation of travelling in Australia...I look forward to watching the rest of your videos.

After over 50 years of ownership, and after the death of our mother, my siblings and I have just sold what was our family holiday house and our mother's retirement home, at Jan Juc! We have sooo many happy memories of our childhood spent at the beach. Sun burn, endless lemonade, and our mother's infamous tomato and onion sandwiches ( white bread only, and it had to be fresh!) The Great Ocean Rd is one of Australia's most spectacular road trips! Im so glad you loved it as much as we do!

Hi Brenna, Well done on discovering the Great Ocean Road! I visited the area on my honeymoon in 1983. It was different then. There were 12 apostles and you could walk out onto London Bridge. Early this year I visited again, by myself, I am single now. I am so glad that you visited "The Grotto". I didn't know about "The Grotto" until my most recent trip. It is now my favourite place amongst all other sites along the coast. The colours sounds and crashing waves are gorgeous. Happy travelling, Tim.

I left Perth last October and reached these places start of December. Seeing these places made me nostalgic. I made it to Cape Tribulation by end February and had to hurry home for granddaughters bday. But as soon as a couple of housey things are done, I'm back over there. In the interim I'm enjoying the northern areas for short breaks catching some sunshine. Love Lake Indoon. Too cold down here.

Music does make the video, especially when filming scenery or driving, but it is terribly distracting when someone is speaking or when it is suddenly loud. Sometimes I have to mute KZread videos and get by with captioning, and you know how bad that can be. It was nice seeing and hearing the waterfall without distractions. Love seeing little Abby. The Great Ocean Road is the first thing we did in Australia. We were there and on London Bridge just a few days prior to its collapse and leaving several on one of its pillars. They had to be airlifted off after several days of those people stranded. Crazy experience. It was attached to the main land and at one time you could walk over it.

A Beautiful trip down the Great Ocean Road. The London Bridge formation was larger than you see now, a section collapsed in 1990. If you do a Google search for images you will get an idea of the formation before the section collapse. Also, a number of the "12" apostle formations have also eroded and collapsed, so there are no longer 12 standing formations. The area and the views are just stunning :-)

Of course, I've heard of the Great Ocean Rd. 😂 I'm Victorian 😅. I'm loving your videos. Its great to see an older Aussie woman living the dream. I'm a wee bit older than you, jeust turned 70 and have loved camping all my life. Currently camping with my Subaru Forester and a tent. I take 2 naughty dogs and a cat so sleeping in the car with them is too hard. The cat is 18, so when she passes, I might ditch the tent. I don't do the the big boardwalks with the steep stairs anymore. I nearly died last time I did! Lol I'm hoping to do a trip from regional Vic to South Australia later this year and a trip up the East coast sometime during the winter months. Dont know how far yet. Keep up the good work! ❤

That’s so interesting what you said about knowing the shots you want and hearing the music in your mind, etc. I really wish I had that! I thought I saw you using a Companion power pack...does it only charge with the solar panels or is it also connected to your van so it can charge when driving...and do you have any other batteries? I currently have a battery in my van that also charges whilst driving and can be topped up with solar panels when stopped, but am aware how those Tassie cloudy days can play havoc with charging...thinking about getting one of those Companion power packs for a backup. Interested to know what you use and how you find it.
