    Love it. Your boat is a beast. We did that back in the early 2000s. On a 23ft with 2 115hp. That had two different props. Every time you hit a wave the boat would turn hard right. Took us 6.5 hours. Great memories

    I'd be so worried the weather would get bad halfway there. I boat in Florida but just on the lakes. I've seen the weather change in minutes and the lake become pretty violent. I can't imagine being miles out in the ocean and having that happen. I love that the bird dropped by to give you a little company 😂. Beautiful boat !

    Awesome video as always. I would love to do that crossing but I don't think it would be a good idea to do it solo my first time. I have a 2020 Cobia 220cc that would be fine in calmer days but the single engine is what concerns me on that kind of trip solo. Can't wait to see part two the return!

    Sweeeeet! but for your family you should have a life vest on & even more important is the kill switch tethered to your vest or wrist. if you go overboad at least the boat will stop & you could hopefully swim to your boat! Please dont take it the wrong way. Be Safe. Beautiful Boat!

    @@djl0fne Great for the boat, but if a wave washes him overboard? He could be in trouble. The EPIRB may not activate if the boat does not flip or sink. It would just drift without a captain.

    @@MiamiLiving305 I’ve sailed and motored those waters for decades to and from the Bahamas, through the straits, up and down other coasts. Heavy seas entering the Gulf Stream are almost always a sign of northerlies. It takes up to two days for the sea to settle. Stay safe out there and definitely keep the wife home in choppy seas! ✌️

    The Seakeeper only helps with the roll not with the pitch so in these conditions it would not have made a difference that’s why I did not turn it on

    The 35 cobia is way bigger and heavier with a step haul so for sure it rides better but the SeaHunt would not be far behind if both were running in a chop together

    In the middle not to slow because it’s rougher but if you go to fast you will start jumping out of the water so it’s best to find a good middle ground

    @@MiamiLiving305 oh, it WILL change lol. I have 20 years on you. You’ll start to feel it in about 10 years like old high school sports injuries BUT well worth the memories ✊ it’s precisely why I switched from my last power boat (Mako 26 cuddy) to sailing. My power boat days were mostly fishing off south shore of Long Island off the shelf. Then I moved to SW FL and lived in The Grove for a few years. Now back in Sarasota and keep it to wind power. Planning a trip down the coast to the keys and Dry Tortugas, then over to Eleuthra at some point. With sails I HAVE to watch those winds when battling the Gulf Stream

    It was at a arms reach and more importantly I had the kill switch strapped ok to me along with a becon! I did not think the ocean was bad enough to put it on if it was worse then yes
