Having a shit day, text my mate and said I’m going to chill and rewatch haze doing the coast to coast. Probably now the 5th time I watched it
There's something very special about doing a long distance walk. 3 years ago I walked 450 miles from northern France to Lancaster in memory of my dad so I can understand you doing your walk for your grandad. You are a very talented film maker and I'm so glad to have found your videos.
Peak Haze! Watching this for the second time, your videos got me started wild camping a year ago today exactly at 43yo.....I go out almost weekly now, when family time allows, all over my native North York Moors from moors to sea. Cheers Dude, all the best and thanks for the entertainment and encouragement 🙏
Whenever I feel down I watch this and it cheers me up and reminds me how I can do better well done hazey your grandad will be proud xx
Even coming in for 2 years later, when I'm feeling like the world's getting on top of me, I still come back and watch this series. Considering doing this with my dad in mind, as he's in the late stages of a terminal illness.

Loving your uploads! Can't wait to see part 4! Much respect 😁
I love the reason behind your choosing to do this walk. And the views are just breathtaking.
Great to see this brings back some fantastic memories for me. The best long distance walk I ever done. That tent looks the business. Cheers H man 👍 and thanks for taking the time to put the vids together it must take ages. Piece to ya..
When your five weeks into Lockdown and craving some Lake District...there's no better video than Hazys AW C2C part 1....really takes me there man x
Spot on mucker, wicked start to the walk. I can feel a trip coming on.
EPIC! So looking forward to this and enjoying the journey. Thanks for taking us along. Kudos for taking a stone for your Grandad (Boom! Fist Pump!).
Love the story of your grandad and your walk in his footsteps. Good hiking video for in the UK.
Stumbled upon this researching the coast to coast walk. Very glad I did. Heartwarming and made me chuckle a few times. Subbed as it makes me happy!
Mate this is like a favourite classic movie, it stands up to watching many times. Thanks for sharing your journey Haze. Respect to Grandad.
Thanks for sharing this with the world! Always wanted to do that hike, now at least I've got an idea of what it's like.
Fine effort Hazy. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the yomp! Top video as always👍
I watched all of these videos two weeks ago before my own crack at it... now, after a successful completion (yesterday morning), I find myself watching again, with even more enjoyment, recognising every shot and reliving it! Ah, mate - what an adventure it was! And I've stopped now, at 22:45, because it's just made me laugh out loud - I swear that flat bit of land you're camping on there just outside of Stonethwaite is the exact same bit I did just last week! Great minds...
Entertaining as always. Super story and drive as well looking forward to part 2 👍
Enjoyed the video buddy! Looking forward to the rest of your journey!
Going back through your old videos! This was a great adventure - love it
What fantastic motivation Really enjoyed the story of your grandfather. Best outdoors channel. Legendary crew.
Mr Haze. I’m starting the coast to coast tomorrow. You’ve inspired me mate. So hats off to you. Take it easy.
Really enjoyed this video my man, love why you are doing it 👍
Cracking vid hazel, did this 20 years ago on a bike, nice to see your route ,brings back some good memories mindyou did it in winter which had a fair bit of snow burrrrrr🍻 Will
watching this series again cos it's excellent. Hopefully do it myself soon.
'Take your time and smell the roses.' I like that Hazy. A great start and inspiration for the hike = a fabulous story about your gramps! Hey thanks for the tip on cold soaking breakfast - I've never thought of that. Saves time and energy. Well, I wont go on - I enjoyed every mile. Good going - nice pitches. Take care. Mark
Really moved by your love and respect for your Grandfather...what a great inspiration! Great video and commentary...thanks so much for sharing this...Starting on Part II now! ATB!
Good luck with your new fond journey rock to rock
Currently rewatching this in lockdown V3, cheers me up every time and makes me look forward to the time I can hopefully do this
Brilliant video mate. Looking forward to part 2.
This is brilliant! Both the filming and the hike. And the landscape of course. I'm going to hike the C2C walk in late August, so I'm thankful for every piece of advice I can get. This video is a great aid for my planning and I'm looking forward to watching the other parts after work :)
Excellent work mate , so envious and looks forward to the next instalment atb Dave
I've only just found this channel and oh my god this guy is a legend!!!!!!!
Top vid Mr Haze. Props to your grandad for doing the same journey in the late 70's with old school heavy gear. Thanks for sharing Haze, looking forward to part 2. Atb Sconja 👍
Nice wee video there! i am walking with me dad this July 2021.. excited, and your videos helped, especially with the overnight oats! genius! no messing about in the morning. love it. onto part two. and lovely for your grandad memory
Love all your videos, Haze. You are like the Cam Hanes of outdoor camping. What you're doing, in memory of your granddad, is very special and I look forward to seeing more of your trip. If you ever visit Japan, I'd be happy to take you hiking around my area. All the best.
Love your sense of humour lad. Got me feet up with a mug of tea, but I'm walking every step vicariously
Big up Grandad Haze and his 1970's Joey Von D sidekick and a big up to you sir Haze-O. Looking forward to the next episode

"I don't want any beef... no pun intended!"... man you made my day! :)
I’m kind of late to all this and only recently subscribed to your channel but I’ve gotta say I’m really enjoying your films and I’m looking forward to being able to get out once this lockdown finishes. Thanks man. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I also do the cold soak brekkie method, works a treat and saves fuel. Good choice of fortifications - cinnamon, chia and goji berries = boosts of antioxidants, protein, vitamins and importantly fibre. Although with the long days you're doing i'd probably boost the energy content further with some dark choc and peanut butter mixed in. Got to get that energy in:energy expended balance. Inspiring stuff btw

What a great way to record your adventure. You do the old man proud. Stick in your inspiring people to get out and put the KZread away.
Been looking forward to this one dude 👍 go easy on them sheep lol nuff respect for doing it as your grandad did before 🍺 great achievement mate...
A lovely story behind this. Well done you. Found your channel by chance, searching for vids of C2C walks, and wound up binge-watching the Haze Outdoors channel during lockdown. I used to be a glamper back in the day, and planned last year to do some long-distance hikes and wild camping. Now mother's dementia has gotten worse, and I've wound up her full-time carer, so everything's on hold for a while longer. It's all good. All about priorities - and with Covid, not much chance of getting out and about anyway right now. Thanks for all the vids, and hard work you put into them. Good luck for 2021. (Kudos to Joey D...legend. The ale supping and fishing vids are inspired). All the best. Sorry for the essay. J xx
Good on you. My attempt failed at Grasmere back in March, 4ft deep of snow on the tops. I will do it again next year.
Nother Quality video haze keep up the videos and beer reviews 😝🍺
Always great to see you out and about fella :)
Brilliant watch this mate. Genuinely, very interesting and well put together. Top work mate, as always. Well done 👍

Wow great hike! HUGE LIKE for this friend
Good stuff lad, I should've done this last year instead of the SUW and sacking it after 5 miserable days and 2 turned ankles. Looking forward to pt2
Thanks Mr haze re watching your vids of your trip one last time before I set out on my own c2c next month. Different class for all the others. Many thanks
Nice one great start to your hike! 👍
Really enjoyed this, will catch the next one soon..
Thanks for sharing , really enjoyed it.
Epic long distancer! Thanks for sharing enjoyed watching over breakfast 🥞 🌲
Was dead chuffed when you showed Blacksail youth hostel, my climbing partner and I often talked about walking to that particular hostel. I’m disabled now and spend a lot of time in a wheel chair. Whilst she wheeled me round a local national trust property (Nymans ) she told me she’d looked into whether we could reach it via hired quad bikes. I never told her but I was so touched that she’d looked into it that I bawled like a baby all the way on my drive home. Thank you, I’m loving your adventures.
Great stuff! Looking forward to part two. :-)
Well done bro! A lot of ressspect ..can't wait to see more

I’ve watched other hiking KZread videos and no one does as good a job. They just hike and don’t show the map or give a sense of the country and how it changes. I’m really enjoying your story. Have always wanted to do the coast to coast but I think I’m too old now and have missed my chance! Thanks for the videos!
This series was always the best. I like to revisit it from time to time.

Another gr8 vid ,keep them flowing like the ales
I’m SOOO happy to see this!! It’s been obscenely hot here (temp gauge on my truck said 109 F today) and I was rather grumpy for suffering thru it all, so to finally get in front of an AC and have a fun and delightfully entertaining video to watch, definitely improved my day and attitude ;) lol .. thanks so much for taking the time to film your adventure and share it with us Hon! I know it’s not always exactly fun to film when you are immersed in your surroundings, so thank you for doing it :) .. I’m sure your granndad is proud of you! The scenery is stunning, & so different from here.. you do a great job with that camera :) Don’t work too hard, I’m sure you’re smack in the middle of your busy season! ATB ~Ruth

Great stuff Hazey, had the C2C on my radar for a while. Looks awesome. Got my own little adventure on Saturday, 108 PW mile race from Edale to Hardraw, aiming for 40hrs non stop. Looking forward to the next instalment. Big up from the dark end of the Peak District.

Great vids! Cant wait to do this with the missus end of May 2019! Have you ever considered big walks outside the UK like the Tour Du Mont Blanc, Kungsleden, GR20 or the Camino de Santiago?
That book will be something to treasure for generations of the Haze clan. Looking forward to part 2.
