I can smell the forest from here...and sweet nostalgia floods in upon hearing the wind blow distantly through the giant trees and everything cushioned in a thick blanket of snow at times so deafening. Reminds me of my childhood in Europe... Thank you...

I seriously need to try ponch camping, again. NO IDEA where my old huge poncho disappeared to, so it's been a while. I camped a few times using a small, rolled up painters tarp. Pretty much fit in my pocket. Wasn't too bad but you know how it is - lol. I am loving this channel.

Wow, what a NICE place to camp! I have been getting out in the cold, lately. Just snowed and I wish I could have filmed it. Some of my camping videos are...."stealth camping" but in my area, you do what you gotta do - lol. Just spent the night hammock camping (-4c) and trying out a new foldable wood stove. It worked well, but doesn't compare to a primitive style fire. The dakota fire pit is a good option, when in the right areas. I loved the scenery of this video!

It’s currently 7 degrees and snowing where I live it is great looks similar to this terrain

Another excellent trip. I know your experience in the planning makes for a successful outing. Still amazes me the small amount of equipment you needed to survive a night in the cold. You eat well and have hot drinks. Thank again for sharing. Be well.

One of the best out there making it look easy! We’ve been getting those temps with -40C windchills lately, much respect. What species of trees did you use for the fire? Looks like spruce, but maybe pine? Impressive how long the fire lasted. Prefer this over two logs stacked or the Siberia firelay. Less fiddling, plenty of fuel … as long as the wind doesn’t change direction! 💨💨💨

My thoughts exactly. Finger tips exposed for extended periods of time. Lack of face covering. Could potentially result in severe cases of frost bite. At a minimum, contact gloves, ears and nose covered especially in -31.

Maybe one day you can make a "making of"? I think with all that camera-positioning and stuff you actually need double the time as if you only craft your buildings. I am curious about the process. Oh, and another question: Do you leave your buildings after you made them? For wanderers to use if they find them after you left?

I am impressed by your industry and cold tolerance. Local temperatures will be 22C, 28C, 33C in the next 3 days. I’ll do a short hike as it’ll be warm, then sit & drink coffee from a Thermos flask as you did. Can you tell me what tarp is used, or the size? Greetings from a new subscriber in Australia 👍
