I think Solo is a pretty good movie that had a lot of bad press before the release because of switching directors and it paid for the bad press. That being said it's very hard to recast such an iconic character and not get some sort of blow back. Kudos to you for going in to this with an open mind and great reaction.

Lando really steals the show in this episode. I found so much to like in this movie, and as a one-off I think the narrative was full of twists, not slow-paced like setting up for a trilogy.

In the last part of the film, these landscapes of dunes and sand were filmed in Fuerteventura (Canary Islands, Spain). I´m from there and it´s barely changed for the film. A great holidays destination or to live.

Maul survived being sliced in half keeping himself w/force power and mind went crazy. Rescued by Savage Oppress his brother. Was given metal torso legs and mind together again by mother talzin. Rose up the ranks in crime syndicate even took control of Mand'alor with dark saber and had some battles with Kenobi, Ashoka and warned her about Anakin. All in the clone wars. Need live action series or movie of this

Solo movie is good Star Wars adventure 🙂 I've streamed it on D+ 3x times since the day it landed there ✅ I missed it at movie theater because of life things back then. I've given it 8/10 & actual score is 7.5, but it can't be added on most websites. 🙂

Honestly I thought Alden Ehrenreich did a fine job as Han. The addition of Emilia Clarke was super cool. Woody and Paul I could've done without, but Donald Glover was brilliant as Lando, AND Phoebe Waller-Bridge played my favorite droid in a Star Wars movie, and the fact that L3-37 (LOL, Leet) gets mentioned indirectly as the reason the Falcon was able to do the Kessell run in less than 13 Parsecs, "TWELVE!" is super cool. And one cannot forget 3PO saying “I don’t know where your ship learned to communicate, but it has the most peculiar dialect.” And now we know that dialect was directly from Phoebe. This movie is as much an origin story for the Millenium Falcon as it is for Han, Chewie, or Lando. And that just makes it more impressive.

Totally agree with your judgment of the movie. Its a lot of fun, the cast is great, but it doesn't really show us or tell us anything about Han or his character that really impacts any of the rest of the movies.

Solo is the second best Disney Era movie. That statement is not a reflection on how good it is, but how bad the sequel trilogy was. It’s also better than many Disney Era shows. Again, not a compliment to Solo…

My feeling about this movie has always been that if you have Donald Glover signed to play Lando, the movie you're making should be LANDO.

just like you said, not needed but still fun to watch. Howard added a few cool callbacks from the franchise like that "I hate you, I know" thing. I think this would've been better as a series like the Mandalorian.

I think you should really watch The Clone Wars. The last season alone is worth it. Also, if you look up some guides online, you'll see that there are quite a number of filler episodes that you can skip.

Solo was "mostly fine". It's problem was the fallout from the trash-fire that was the last jedi😊

Enjoying your reactions! I think this move is a fun ride but ultimately pretty forgettable. At no point did the actor feel like Han Solo, so I think it would have been better if they had just made him a different character, but it was worth seeing in theaters once. If you do want to watch The Clone Wars, most of the episodes are set up in 3-episode story arcs. I’ve seen other reactors react to entire story arcs in each video rather than trying to do one video per Clone Wars episode. There’s a number of guides online that will show you the various story arcs, and how to watch them in chronological order (for some reason, Lucas released them in a super weird non-chronological order so you don’t want to watch them starting in release order).

It’s not horrible, but the actor playing Han Solo really disappointed me. He’s no Harrison Ford, but he’s not even playing a good semblance of the character. He annoys me in pretty much every scene he’s in. The rest of the actors were fine. The story wasn’t bad. It’s just not something I’m interested in watching again (unfortunate because I bought it sight unseen).

Some believe that R2 and C3p0 are the real leads in the series. Maybe this movie doesn't feel very starwars case of their absence.

Glover as Lando is terrific. The actor playing Solo is decent as well. The idiocy of including a love interest is astounding. Everybody knows he ends up with Leia so giving him a love interest was completely and utterly stupid. Screwing up how he meets Chewbacca was also unforgivable. The brain dead way he supposedly acquires his last name is also ridiculously stupid.. The idiotic robot love interest / co-pilot for Lando was another dumbass idea that served no purpose. And to me, the most unforgivable thing was to make Lando a cheat at Sabacc. The whole point was that he is a professional gambler that had no need for cheating because he was THAT good and that their epic card game was supposed to be that, epic. But no, they make Lando a cheater and Han winning by default. Ron Howard is a great director but good God he sucks at Star Wars. This movie should have been all about Han and Chewie as smugglers doing what they do best. Flying the Falcon at ridiculous speeds, smuggling to make money, evading Imperials and giving them the finger and being in it for themselves. Them against the galaxy. That's what it should have been. Throwing in a love interest that everybody knows goes nowhere was asinine.

Too many in the Star Wars Fandom think to be a fan you have to like or dislike the same thing. The best thing to do is ignore people in general and watch what you want to watch and form your own opinions. Most fans in general are upset things don't follow their own fan fiction.

Clone Wars is a lot... It's enjoyable but frankly it has quite a bit of filler. There are lists of essential episodes, some particular to understand Ahsoka's story for example... There are even some very useful playlists already baked into Disney+ ... I would even recommend the Ahsoka eps if you havent already reacted to S2E5 of Mando... Anyway, I have seen some reactors only react to those key episodes (maybe 3-4 per video)... By the last seasons, the story and animation quality ramps up quite a bit, becoming some of my favorite star wars content ever. There are arcs that give so much more emotional value to the prequels even making me think that another movie was needed for that trilogy detailing the actual clone wars And, regarding the other live-action, Andor is definitely one of the most polished pieces of star wars media in recent times, great writing, character development, photography and set design... Some even say its too good for star wars. Hope you check it out at some point

You should watch Donald Glovers first TV series "Community". It is AMAZING and theyre making a movie

as a fan of the original trilogy this was a story that didn't need to be told it was a pure money grab and as a movie just meh

It's not overhated, it's a fucking TERRIBLE movie. Nothing creative or interesting, just ticking off boxes: how'd he get his name? How'd he get his blaster? How'd he get Chewie? He left the planet? I'm sure over a decade later his lost love is still there... fucking TERRIBLE. I couldn't get past the first hour, it's unwatchable. They SHOULD'VE made a fun heist movie. But yeah, Alden Ehrenreich is good casting, ditto Don Glover.
