Solinco Blackout XTD 28 inch Tennis Racket Review

Solinco Black Out 300 XTD28 tennis racquet review by Solow Sports.
For players who thrive with extended frames, The BLACKOUT XTD+ delivers extra reach, stability, and access to power and pop due to its 28″ length. Built with the same performance innovations found in its standard-length version, this racquet amps up the stakes in your game.
-Increased Wingspan + Hitting Zone: The extra inch in length enables an increase in court coverage, more access to angles, and stronger return capability.
-Powerful Drive + Stability: The uptick in swing weight enhances the racquet’s power potential and contributes to its overall stability and pace absorption.
-Stronger Service Games: A one-inch extension creates an elevated launch angle, resulting in a boost in serve speed.

Thank you for reviewing. As a shorter player, I'd love to demo this.

I would LOVE to see a video on the ranking of EXTENDED RACKETS now that the Yonex VCore 100+ has joined the ranks of the Solincos. Really curious to see how YOU like it in particular. I was a fan of the Ezone 100 (2021) for doubles (which I play almost exclusively) and switched to the Solinco Whiteout 18x20 XTD about 8 months ago for the extra control from the denser pattern and the extra plow from the 27.5 inch frame. Really interested to see how the Yonex VCore 100+ fits in the there with the Solincos, Yonexs, and Bablolat extended rackets. How would you now rank all the extended 98 and 100 extended sticks for overall playability?

I presume the Vcore extended would bring that juiced up launch angle and spin generation. I do believe that the XTD rackets take the inherent play of the frame and add extended benefits. (For example the whiteout has great control, stability, and spin. The XTD has all these qualities and the extended benefits added. I don’t feel that you lose or change the innate characteristics)

Great review, thanks! Is there a huge difference in control between the whiteout 28 and blackout 28? I'm more of a control player, but other 28"'ers I've hit (Prince Classic Graphite 100LB) I found I didn't need to be as precise because of angles I could find. That being said I don't want anything too erratic. Plus I like to take the ball off the rise, so it would be nice to have the forgiveness of a 100 head if it's controllable.

Ty so much. Yes the whiteout has much more control than the Blackout. Blackout is very tough to control.

@@SolowSports Thanks for the feedback! A few other things I watched said it had pretty decent control, but I found it hard to believe considering the specs. Maybe I'll demo it, but I doubt it.

@@justinhenry3047 Its certainly hard to control a 28 vs a 27, but if you can handle 28 inch rackets, this is a control option. Certainly compared to the other plus choices (pure aero plus, pure drive plus, blackout 28, etc)
