Although this was very sloppily done, this does demonstrate a very basic way it can be demonstrated. I will note that the spring compression only happens when shown in animation or if the regenerate button is depressed often.

Hi, when i try to mate the cam path and cam follower, i cant choose the cam path face because it shows " selected face must connect to other faces that forms a tangent,extrude closed loop". Can you advise what i should do?

i am literally done searching solution for it, this only happens in 2020 solidworks and perhaps once you select the cam path (one you selected will guide the path) and you wwill notice that it will follow properly after mating ..(kinda illusions for watching older videos)

this doesn't show how to display the distance-time graph of the follower, which is what I was looking for

I can't select all four faces of cam, how can I over come it?

I have a problem while I'm using cam mate I see this error The selected faces doesn't form a closed and continuous extruded single profile. Why this error happens?

coz you are using 2020 solidworks which automatically select the else path if its loop

yes you can save the animation just click on save button near cam follower symbol .

you need high graphics cards and more number of core in your system for high RPM.

My spring is not get compressed when cam is moved

It's only showing selecting entity is not valid for current mate type

If any buddy facing a problem for cam mate- cam select only one face not more So.solution is at a time for mating we choosing cam and follower after the selection scroll mouse in down direction mate alignment option is involved (below universal joint)choose anti alignment.... Problem solve

This wasn't very good at all. You're not properly constraining the spring. You're offsetting from one surface and essentially mating at another. the top of the spring doesn't touch both surfaces. Put simply, this is a lazy assembly and I would advise anyone wanting to learn how to induce dynamic movements in springs to look elsewhere
