Solidworks Flow Simulation - Tube-in-Tube Helical Coil Heat Exchanger

The Helical Coil Heat Exchanger shown in the journal article ( cited below) was analysed using flow simulation and the results were compared. The results were not accurate due to assumptions applied in the simulation.

Thank u so much my friend . By the way , I'd like to know 2 things about your simulation . When you run the fluid simulation in assembly enviroment , the heat exchanger od these 2 tubes was model as a single part or you model both of them and then assemble them in Assembly?? On the other hand , I don't want to be a pain but I'd be glad if you let me know how to create the lids , I've been trying that in my simulation , however , when I ran the wizzard stuff they asked me about the lids

Thanks for video. Why you set pressure in Wizard 300000 Pa(or 3 psi)? And 30 degres?

when we do flow simulation, do we need lids at inlet and outlet? because my solidwork says "Face@bonnet assembly-2/tube 4 pol dch 80 x 246-2 is not laying on the boundary between solid and fluid region." can anyone explain about that?

Why did you choose to run the study with a physical time stopping criteria instead of goal convergence?

Hi, let me congratulate you for this excellent work!! i'm starting with simulation tools like ansys and I hope to reach your level, I'm trying to simulate a discontinuous reactor and I hope that this video be useful to simulate the heat exchanger, but I dont know how i can do to simulate the interaction with the electric resistance that is my heat fount that heat the inner fluid until that reaches a expected temperature , and after the interaction from fluid with the exchanger. can you make me any suggestion? Greetings from Cucuta, Colombia.

I am not sure what discontinuous reactor is. Could you send me the sketch and description at 3djungleclub@gmail.com ? From what you described, I believe you are using heating wire ( probably nichrome wire) wrapped around or mounted on outside of the tube. If you know the amount of heat power you are supplying to the tube, you can directly use that number and simulation software will do rest of its job. If you dont know the heat power, then you might want to find out the electrical resistance of the wire using current meter, and figure out the current by using V=IR. You should know how much voltage is given out of socket in your country. So you have voltage and current. Use P= VI. And apply P (Heat Power) outside the tube. I hope I answered you correctly .

Sir please add a 1 complete video of Helical coil (tube in tube) heat exchanger to find all fluid properties like Reynolds number (Re), Nusselt number (Nu) to draw a graph 1. pressure drop vs Re 2. heat transfer coefficients vs Re 3.heat transfer coefficients Vs Diameter at different Re 4.Nu vs Re 5. Tube Specification a) Copper tube Outer dia. 25mm inner dia 23mm (Outer Tube) b) Steel-316 tube Dia 6mm (Inner Tube) c) Length 3.5 m before coiling d) number of turn 5 e) Re varies 350 to 6500

Hello - can you do the same simulation - because im building my own HEAT Pump using Air Conditioner (system air to water heat pump) . But now i have problems with pipe in pipe heat exchanger . Can you make a simmulation like this (with 1/2 inch copper pipe(inside) ( freon R32 gas) + water (31.5mm pipe outside) with 10m long
