Right my baby does this I go outside to water the plants which only takes a minute. When I come in she sssooooo happy to see me!!! She'll start to run derby's around the home with excitement 🤣🤣😂😂.

Volunteered for many yrs at a large annual doxie rescue public fundraiser festival. I'll never forget the t shirts worn by 2 diff doxie owners. Each guy had a pic of his dog on the shirt. One said: DACHSHUND: German for LITTLE PAIN IN THE ASS and the other shirt simply said, "LET ME SHOW YOU MY WIENER" Both shirts made me just crack up. Long live doxies and the insane humans who adore them!!! LOL

My dachshund chose to live with us after her former owners divorced. Over a year later I was at a local market with her when we happened to meet the man of the former family. He was the one who worked the most with her but had to leave her behind with his EX. My dog was overjoyed. Later when I drove away she stood and looked out the back window of my truck and stayed there until she lost sight of him. The very second it happened she threw her head back and made a long and very sad howl. I felt sorry for her. I wanted to go back but he still lived in a rental home where no dogs were allowed.

That hurts my heart. Too bad she couldn't see her previous owner sometimes. I'm so glad she has you now as her forever home. I don't know what my 3 Doxie's would do with out me and their daddy.

This is an EXCELLENT example of WHY we LOVE dogs!! They display such parallel emotions, listen to this dog VERBALIZE how GLAD she is to see daddy! Oh Daddy! Daddy! you're home! I missed you so much! Im SOOO glad to see you! Hug me, hug me, pet me, cuddle me, MORE, MORE, MORE! No, DONT put me down yet; I havent had enough of YOU yet!! I LOVE you so much, DONT go away so long again, I was miserable without you! etc, etc... aw shucks, get me a kleenex....

Crying out of joy...such a precious moment

We have a mini and she gives us that same welcome even coming home from work. They are an expressive breed, very loving. This was quite special to watch, sweet puppy.

This never gets old for me.....NEVER! Dogs are so amazingly loving creatures.

I love that the camera-holder found it totally plausible that it was her husband making those noises, not the dog! 🤣 Awww, this was so cute. Thank you! I love how those I'M A GIANT WATCHDOG AND I WILL KILL YOU barks of a dachshund turned into the most pathetic whines when she realized her daddy was home. They're so protective and loving.

Thats amazing how she could smell him before he even came in.

i have tears in my eyes, because thats what my dogs acted like when i came home.

Heh so true my first dog was a dachshund named rusty and he was my little partner in crime such funny little sausages with big personalities and lots of love a little stubborn sometimes but that's part of their charm lol

I think dogs are pack animals that normally go everywhere together...when you return it's like you are back from the dead. Every single time; I don't think they really expect us to return.

I used to tease my dachshund after I went away for weekend. When I came back I'd blow under the door, so he could smell my breath, but couldnt see me yet, it drove him mad. RIP buddy

The love of a dachshund is inequalled by any dig in earth .... when they're loved, they know .... and when they love you, no other shows it like this amazing breed.

My dachshund gets this excited every morning it’s like she hasn’t seen you in 3 years.

This reminds me so much of our mini doxie! We got her my senior year of hs and she would go absolutely bonkers like this when I would come home for college breaks. Such a good dog, enjoy yours.

HAPPY WEENIE!

Just brought my doxie Darcie home, she's only about two months old and SO TINY! She's already well behaved, comes when called and knows how to use pee pads. I'm pretty blessed with her.

Forgetmeena03, Doxie's are the best! I have three, 14, 3 and 2 years old and they are all different but loyal, great snuggler's, diggers and incredibly loveable!! Mine sleep with me, especially my baby....he cuddles up to me and sleeps like a baby. I love all three of my boys like they are children!

That sweet thing melted my heart.

Firstly...... Welcome Back Home, Troop!!! From a USN Vet 20+ years..... "Welcome Back and Thanks for your Service, Sacrifice, and Time." But Also, FIRSTLY..... Hey 'Buddy', Your Pop is Home!! Many Treats, a Warm Bed, and Loving Family!!

I left my dachshunds for an hour to buy something and she greeted me as if we havent seen each other for a year

First time i left my wiener dog slept on my bed and wouldnt leave my room for 2 weeks. When i came home from deployment she gave me the cold shoulder at first because she was pissed at me for leaving. Muffin wass kinda sassy but she warmed up after a couple minutes and acted like this.

OMG that is so cute❤️

Unconditional love. It’s a sight to see! Lifts my spirits and reassures me that all’s well. So many good people.

I love this. A great warrior gets a deserved hello from his daughter. God Bless you all.
