Yes it is a nice spot. It has gone under contract and is closing soon.
B You should go into construction , a 1000sq.ft. On five ac. cost more than that in Ca.

When you say merchantable timber, how does that work? Is it easy to find somebody who will harvest the timber, haul it off and pay you for the timber? How much can you harvest from the land to help defray the cost of the purchase?

We would suggest discussing those details with a Maine licensed professional forester. They can provide services such as timber volume estimates, management plans and supervise a harvest. Call Rick at 207-731-9902 and he can get you a list of nearby foresters.

@Hanoi Andy ESL You cannot provide timber estimates as licensed real estate agents unless you have a State of Maine forester license, which we do not.
42 acres of land did he say? wow.... worth every penny! Total package, just beautiful, all of it. He can have the upstairs, I'll visit occasionally, lol. Just joking !! Lovely, just lovely !
