I enjoy the comments section even more than your videos. In this case, a clear consensus is emerging about this property, with so many viewers raving about it. The opposite can also happen. I saw lots of negative remarks about a small house in Portugal, and then there was a comment from the owner, upset that so many KZread viewers didn't like the house and found the asking price overvalued. A few weeks later, I checked the agent's website, and the house had found a buyer. All it takes is to please one person, you don't need everyone to like your property, a point that some owners might be missing.

Good village location with off-street parking. I guess the only change I'd make to the place would be to add a shower to the upstairs utility room. I'm not surprised it's already under offer.

Yes, beautifully staged. I would like to see more of this kind of cleanup and staging of homes for sale in France. It's really hard to imagine what your future home will look like when the seller's stuff is all over the place and sometimes very messy. Strange wall colors, fussy furniture, etc. Just saying . . . :)

Nothing screams english village cottage like lots of chrome, steel, and ultra modern furnishings. Looks like a flip.

Can you help me out with something? I love watching and I dream of a country home in France one day. But I don’t understand the lack of closets. Room after room is referred to as a bedroom, but there’s no closet. In the USA we can’t even call a room a bedroom if it doesn’t have a window that can open and a closet. Where does everyone keep their clothes, shoes, accessories, etc? I know they put in “Wardrobes” sometimes but they seem nothing more than a small plain piece of furniture, and most of the rooms with beds don’t even have that. I am just very confused and would appreciate your help.

Thanks for watching. We have answered this question several times. Closet is an American term for wardrobe so the two are the same thing. Built in wardrobes aren’t a thing really in France, so we have stand alone pieces of furniture. This house is a holiday home so there are two bedrooms with free standing hanging rails because they don’t store many clothes there because it’s not used often. Have a good weekend 😀

France is full of cottages like this which were built for practical purposes anywhere between 100 plus years ago, normally built for farm workers before the areas became more built up, the emphasis would be in what was practice given the space. We doubt they concerned themselves with what people might thinking the layout 100 years plus later 😀👍

There is not a great market here for built in wardrobes so they are normally free standing, but this house is used as a second home so has a free standard hanger for clothes in utility room upstairs, but this could be replaced with a wardrobe 😀😀 have a great evening

I'm bucking the trend on this one, it doesnt feel cosy and loved to me, it feels like a holiday house you rent out, not live in yourself. It's functional but cold and echoey, and the garden is just awful. The only thing I was impressed with was the double glazing, you could not hear the road Inside, just the noisy fan in the bathroom! But I hope I can redeem myself by saying I don't mind about the wardrobe/storage/closet situation, it's hardly insurmountable 🙂

Terrible renos for most of these houses: You walk INTO the darn kitchens??!!! And the kits are larger than most in French restaurants.
