Have you ever wondered about the reasons for living in an ancient village? The quality of life is better; you hardly ever use your car, and you can walk around, savoring the pleasure of being surrounded by high-quality architecture with streets and alleys designed for horses and carriages!
In addition to the history, living in a medieval village like Loreto Aprutino in the province of Pescara, just 20 minutes from the sea and the mountains, allows you to rediscover a human-scale environment, with buildings proportionate to the importance of the people. Choosing to live in the historic center is also an emotional and poetic choice: squares, alleys, and buildings all express a highly qualitative language from an architectural and historical perspective. How could one live poorly in a place with so much beauty?
From the right perspective, we add the conditions that make it possible to find this certainly fascinating dimension of living, with this finely renovated property that can certainly be the ideal space to choose to live in.
The house is on two levels, with the bright living room and a balcony on the ground floor, a spacious eat-in kitchen with a fireplace, and a small bathroom. Upstairs, there are two spacious bedrooms, a hallway, and a bathroom with a shower. The property also includes a large cellar with a laundry area and a window.
💰Price: 87.000 euro

Honestly not bad at all Rino. As always (and if possible) I'll knock down the walls downstairs next to the entrance to make it more open space. All in all a very good one!

In my neighborhood in Southern California we put our trash in a dumpster that is used by about 10 houses. Mondays and Wednesdays a huge automated dump truck takes the dumpster and tosses all of its contents into the rear of the dump truck, which then compresses all the refuse in its rear. It's tremendously noisy but very efficient.

Great property -thanks Rino. We were in Abruzzo last week but didn’t visit Loreto - we stayed in Sulmona and Guardiagrele - but Loreto looks lovely. In our area of UK the trash, recycling and green garden waste is collected every 2 weeks. We have 3 large wheelie bins that we place on the doorstep. Glass is separated into another smaller recycling bin, but cardboard, tin and plastic all stored in the same one. Love the videos - thanks!

Hi Rino. Thanks for the videos. In my village in France we have a weekly rubbish collection and 3 recycling spaces where everybody takes their own. One for paper, metal and plastic and another for glass. This being France the glass one is always the fullest! 😂😂

Funny how everyday things are different in the world. We take ours to the recycling center ourselves. About once a week I load it in my truck and go. But we live in a small country side town near the White Mts of New Hampshire USA

Here in Maine, our trash is collected once a week. On my street, trash day is Thursday. It takes us four to five days to fill a kitchen trash bag. Our trash can fits three to four of them. By the way, we love your tours. Thank you for your honest opinions and for finding properties worth pursuing.

In my city (it differs city by city) in New Hampshire USA, we have two 4 foot high wheeled trash bins, one recycle and one bagged trash picked up weekly. One designated week a month you can put construction debris, furniture or mattresses out next to trash bins for pickup. Two weeks in the fall and spring you can put yard waste (leaves, dead plants) out in special paper bags you purchase. Electric items or appliances need to be taken to a special place to get rid of.

Really liked this house. I too would get rid of that wall in living room. It seems an odd shape right now. Interesting that the storage area is across the street and not attached to the house. Do you ever have properties near Francavilla or Ripa Teatina in Chieti?

Especially liked the floors/windows/doors... Our trash is picked up once a week and we have to walk a rolling can out to the main road, about 2 tenths of a mile... Sometimes they don't pick it up on the scheduled day which makes it a 'guessing game'. I may start referring to you as "Mr. Peculiar".... ha... ha...

You are right: at 5:35 thar wall behind the red sofa shoud be demolished and it is notoriously non original but a bad remodel. All new windows and doors take out great part of the history and the charm of living in an old house. Must take that into consideration when remodeling a house: I already have new stuff un my country that is probably newer than that house. Perhaps people in your country are bored of "old places" but that is what we look for. Unfortunately, to me is not an old house either a new one, just something in between that has lost its character.

Depends on the days. 3 days per week it's organic food waste, 1 it's glass, another one is paper, 2 it's non recyclable and plastic

Trash - we have three wheeled bins of about 220 litres. One is for green waste (garden trimmings, food waste), one is for recycling (wood, plastic, paper etc.) and one general waste. The general waste is collected each week, and the other two fortnightly.
