I had one in 1969: blue, fastback, 383, Holley 4 barrel, Hurst, 4- speed, 3.23 gear, dual exhaust, dual point ignition, wide ovals. Those were the days.

interesting car. tag decodes to a real 383 4sp Cuda package, non-S, deluxe interior and that vinyl roof. 383 not available with power steering, and no disc brakes, so a true muscle car. super nice.

i have a 69 383 4 speed it has power brakes and power steering it run and drives had it a long time fender tag and build sheet show it never say never

69 Barracuda my favourite Mopar along with the earlier years

It was nice to see what a real one looks like. As a Chevy mostly guy but trying out this same body style of a classic Plymouth from a solid project, i thank you. The sticker shock for same quality looking repop's to do my project justice like this one was and still is a mighty pill to swallow so far till completion. You talked about those exhaust manifolds but please try to remember there a a lot of not available parts for this 69 specific car. Price out that grill, headlight bezels , turn signal brackets , front fenders, good doors or skins , trunk lids of all three versions Bucket seat metal parts etc. Need a new dash bezel to the glove box trim? Like i said, sticker shock to just not reproduced or even found dead on junkers to date is a pain. Still i am rowing against the current of the river in sideways falling rain till it's done because i find these nice looking cars. I will be cheating in some places like having disc Brakes , R.B. 440 6 BBL with the non available for that motor size, manual transmission and B-Body size 15 inch rims and tires to fill those big in my opinion wheel wells. My plan is for it to be all black with a red upper stripe and red deluxe interior CUDA / Barracuda S. look. There will be a lot of BO 29 tricks and parts mixed in. So just because it was not available to order in those days out front on the show room floor but still if i wanted was available and sold at the parts counter is my goal. Wish i had this one as well but that just makes me greedy in my opinion.

Just saw this. Had same car but a 440. Forest green same stripes and non functional hood scoops. Was a fun car.

‘67-‘69 were my favorite Barracuda yrs. You can keep the ‘70 and later models. The race hemi super stockers were wonderful back then.

I saw this car up Close in 2018 at the Mopars @ The Battleship show in Mobile Alabama! It was sweet. It was not entered in the event and should and have been! I did an extensive walk around and decode on the fender tag. It is a legit A57 'Cuda383 package. I do not recall it having "B41" Disc Brakes. At the show it was wearing Goodyear POLYGLASS F70-14's on black steelies. I has been refined some more with the Redlines and correct Hubcaps since then. It likely would have taken First Place from me in A-body Stock that day if it was entered, Well if I was the Judge for sure! My 69 B7/B5 Blue Formula S 383 with white sport stripe is an eye catcher as well. My cars tag is even fuller than this cars. It has Power Disc Brakes as well. I just have a soft spot for a Stick car and the 'Cuda package! The slick Back vinyl top is very rare as well! Very Solid Nice example this Plymouth is!

i have one had it for many years 1969 383 console 4 speed and it has dower disc braked and power steering ? has am/ fm rear defrost . tach still works the car is y2 yellow run and drives load fender tag never paint had small dents needs restored ed .but everybody tells me to leave it that way. when i found the car as a kid it had two of the rare recall rims on the front

A57 = 383,- thats a beast. And together with the D21 - 4spd. I would love it,- but dislike the color. Whose know more about the vinyl roof,- never seen on a 69 barracuda fastback, except on AMAG models from switzerland.

Is 69 fastback still available?

Formula S package included power steering ,Kelsey Hayes power disk brakes. That car is missing the correct rear formula S rear tail panel. I would bet that is a 69 " Barracuda 383 Non Formula S w deluxe interior. Love to see the fender tag on that car n the vin.

i had a '68 formula S with drum brakes...was disc standard in '69? i found a junker with the 4 piston brakes, so upgraded later, but it did have drums initially

@@SYLB2016 Surprised you couldnt get power steering with one in 69 unless you got the S.

Is the black around the bottom painted on? Did they even have vinyl stripes in 69?🤣

It is a combination of paint and decals. The paint is mainly the 4 corners down low and the rest, rockers, lower quarters and fenders including the hood stripes are vinyl decals.

its not as good as it should be on the fit , but real nice car very hard car to find as you said
