When you Stretch/Alter the frame of an Iconic Car like this it's unbearable. Worst mistake so you can stand out for changes, changes aren't always welcome or accepted in the Car Enthusiast, Kindig is Kingone. This guy and Fantomworks are robbing clients blind, pay storage, rent to get your car worked on, could be 2yrs from Now and 200,000 dollars to start plus retainer. Unbelievable Crooks in Plain Site. Disgraceful...

@@randygillespie4952 Wow you sound very, very jealous tooooooooo me. Guess you are absolutely clueless of how expensive it is to build a custom car. By the way, that same car can be bought from Kindig for under 400 K don't remember the exact dollar amount, but it is under the amount I made a comment on.

@@randygillespie4952 Hey if they can afford it why do you have a problem with what they do with their money. Nice cars are very expensive. I drag raced for many years spent 25 K on a car that was just built, it was new but had a lot of mechanical problems. Did I give up? Hell no, just spent more money in order to get the car the way I wanted it to run, and this was in the early 80's. 25 K back then was a lot of money gut got the end result I was looking for. So , does that piss you off?

@randygillespie4952 This isn't stretched or altered but a brand new build. Not my cup of tea for half a million but definitely better than a resto mod and if you've the means then it gets you driving your dream car that you otherwise couldn't even fit inside of. Looks like the original but better in every way possible. What's not to like?
I think people who can make cars like these are totally awesome. They create works of art.
Class act from start to finish and all the way around! What a beautiful, beautiful ride. And you couldn't ask for a better overall experience for buyer and seller and let us not forget the dreamers at home like me. Thanks for allowing us along for all that fun!!!
Love Dave's work and I loved seeing the evolution and design of this car. And he is a sweet guy to boot. Success well deserved.
Kindig's car building shop (it takes up a full city block) is featured on the Motor Trend Cable Channel. The 1953 "special edition" Corvettes had a several-week feature where they formed the molds, the dies, etc for these cars. Everything was computer modeled and hand built, with only the very best components put into them. These cars are designed for people with deep pockets who want a vintage Corvette of the highest quality. Its been enlarged nn the interior, as Dave Kindig points out. I think the winning bid was a little high, but then these are toys for the (really) big boys and you cannot get them anyplace else. BTW: Kindig spent a lot of time and development money to come up with the "blackest black" paint around, and people can see the difference between his "black" and commercial paint companies' "black."
We’ll say this, Dave’s cars have a fit and finish better than most. Just incredibly insane custom work!

Kindig's show dedicated a whole season to the development of the prototype car. Interesting to see on at auction, the prices he charges for his work are never disclosed on the show. I love most of what he does and the show gives a look behind the curtain of how a custom is built.

It's Arizona, where illegal aliens can help a criminal steal the governor's election, and threaten the populace with reducing them to minority status. A state that allowed Janet Brewer, Russell Pearce and Sheriff Arpiao to be recalled by illegal alien organizations going door-to-door to collect signatures, a state which elected traitors such as John McCain, Jeff Flake, and Big Sis Janet Napolitano who as governor helped the National Council of La Raza destroy AZ and transformed it into Mexico. She's now has California in her tentacles seeking pay conservatives back for having the temerity to ask for Proposition 187...

A big fan of Dave. I've been to his shop and took the tour. I too like his designs. Over the years, the only one I have not liked totally is the black 70 Challenger he did for Kevin Hart. Dave did some mods to the front of it I just couldn't agree with. The stock 70 Challenger has a sloping facia, and he dropped it down and squared it up below the grill. I don't think that was the ideal car for that treatment. The Challenger has that "look" ....
wow, that is a work of art.
Guy thought it was going to be a bidding war when offering $100k over the very first bid... Made quick work of it, that's for sure.. Beautiful car
Dave, I am still impressed with your car. I loved watching your show as you went through the development process. This special edition is more than fantastic...

I was there and sat behind the second highest bidder. It was that young kid that buys everything when he comes. Anyone know who he is? I see him at each one buying and running from the cameras. His first name was Brad and apparently he's from Maryland.

lovely replica of a early C1 .... And I think whoever bought it stole it for $520,000 ..... I myself think the later year dual headlight C1's are much better looking.
Love that car. My only beef is the choice of seats which puts form over safety by lacking headrests. This would protect the driver against whiplash.
