With his Vangelis homage 'Love Theme From Blade Runner' firmly established as a hot favourite in end-of-year polls, Solarstone's next single excursion sees the Pure Trance guardian dip back into the sonic riches of his latest album. Moving from 'Love' to 'Lovers', he's teamed up with cult New York-based synth-pop outfit Lemon.
Across its Original versions, 'Lovers' is a knowing glance back by Solarstone at his formative musical years. Its production and vocals draw affectionate inspiration from a wide artistic palette, with Erasure, Depeche Mode, Roxy Music and Joy Division being just some of its many touchstone influences. Featuring introspective and deeply personal lyrics & vocals from Lemon's frontman Roger D. Smith, 'Lovers' lays and layers them against crisp percussion, atmospheric analogue synths and brilliantly stagey drum rolls.
Masterfully bridging the decades Solarstone's new Pure Mix version kicks off 'Lovers' remix collection. Rushing up to meet 2014 club floors, throughout their intros they utilize high-impact kick-drums, echoing harmonics and the Pure Mixes' leitmotif running basslines. Building potent levels of tension, the vocal affects a controlled burn on the drop before Solarstone hooks the swirling atmosphere and up-surging synths back in.

One of the best male vocal Trance tracks in recent memory..
Love this track. Last heard 'live' at Luminosity beach festival in the Netherlands back in 2019 with a lover. Always brings a tear to my eye \o/
Solarstone never fails to deliver the best performancd possible, truly uplifting.
This song is so good that I repeat it 2 or 3 times!!!!!

I've been listening to this track for a long time now, and I never knew there was a female vocalist backing up Lemon's strong and powerful singing. Simply breathtaking. That harmony is gorgeous.

I think trance pretty went stale after '99 and it's so formulaic but now and again a great track comes along that's especially good to listen to while pissed up at least lol. Good song

Great vocal trance had you used Kristy Hawkshaw, Julie Thompson, Jes, or one of the female singers instead of this vocalist Lemon (He has a very nice voice but it just did not work with this music). Nevertheless, love the track

Alexander Nicholas There's tons of female trance vocalists. We need more male singers. Hence why I really like Dash Berlin.
