offset cockpit design is genius. redefines the space.

This yacht is gorgeous. I'm starting to be a fan of this brand.

@@ami6272 Interior layout for salon+galley is literally the same. Choice of wood + colors are very similar to the Swan video they just uploaded. If you notice my "lol" it was also clearly meant as a joke - they are of course very different boats, but they certainly have some similarities

@@nomansland120 I don't think those are the only yachts with such layout. Plus the offset companion way is quite unique to Solaris. Don't worry, I get it, it's a joke. I didn't want to sound disrespectful, I wanted to hear your motivations behind the joke.

@Toby: I really like all these beamy twin helm designs with all sail management localized aft. But I've yet to see an example of weather protection available for the helmsman. Am I missing something, or are these intended only for fair weather sailing? In a future review, could you please at least mention what options are available? Thanks!

Gregg Vandenbosch Agreed. I would love to see a configuration with a full dodger for the cockpit and helm stations. Perhaps video of the yacht underway with a performance review is in order.

100%... the idea that someone have to put up some janky tables on bent tube Bimini (which they will unless they love skin cancer) is an insult to this boat... I simply done know why so few manufacturers are doing someyhing

Still prefere the CNB 66!😁

Solaris is a production yard. That isn't a Super Yacht.

Fashionable. Handsomely. Like most yachts from any other manufacturer. On the weekend to drive, brag to your friends. No more. And really, why protect at least some helmsman? We are not going to sail on a yacht for more than three hours! Not for the weekly transition she bought! The main thing is to look beautiful from the side. Exactly.

There is protecting for the helm's Like a bimini & spray hood. You will never see them at a boat show. Its really funny how many people are seeing this as the big problem on a boat. You should watch "the philosophy of sailing" Hawaii and return or something like that. Easy to find. There you will see how most people are sailing a boat on a longer trip or a crossing. It's not like you stand at the helm all the time. You would use a windvane or an aut pilot. This does not mean, you are not watching the boat. You will do that at the plotting table. Keeping an eye on the weather, which is one of the most important thing's about sailing. Sorry for this long comment. Have a nice day 👋🌞
