Solar Workshop
Ғылым және технология
In this episode of My Solar Workshop, I continue the planned upgrade work around the shop. New workbench has been built, new overhead solar powered lighting, and also added an additional wall mount solar panel to the workshop wall. The cabling and wiring in the shop is out of control, so I have started cleaning that up and trying different cable management solutions. I am also preparing to add more batteries and installing a new inverter and solar charge controller to run my computer and air conditioner all day in the workshop. This is the first video with "head cam" or #POV footage, as well as normal camera angles.

its weird how quickly tools have changed in my life time. from zamik casting clamshells, to cordless nicad, to nmh, to lithium, dc brushed to brushless. just thinking that watching your video.

@vevenaneathna You are right they moved along quickly, can't even imagine doing larger projects without a cordless impact, it would not be fun
I used bolt on magnets from harbor freight on my shop panels. Put em on the metal roof

@@solarpoweredge they are 4-5 inches round with metal on the top and sides. They have a bolt hole right in the middle. I think they were 100 lb pull force.

Great video. 15:25 What is that black panel that let you snap on the Digital Volt meter to it? I have never seen the mounting plate for those meters before.

@budmartin3344 Thank you sir, really appreciate that. It is left over screen track from building a porch, searching the channel under "videos" tab for "solar power equipment board" there are some more videos of it being used
Can you elaborate on the lights wired directly to the solar panel? How do you control voltage and stuff ?

@TheCornucopiaProject-bd5jk Hi, the LED lights don't need any voltage regulation since they can handle 20v. The solar panel is often around 15v which is still fine. There is no problem with the voltage being too high, although they get dim if the weather outside is dark and the voltage goes low
