    18:45 It's normal for an inverter in a solar power system to draw a small amount of power from the grid, even when the solar panels are generating electricity. This is because the inverter needs a small amount of power to keep itself running, and also to keep the battery charged. When you say that the system only uses the load that can be easily met by the solar system, that means that any excess power generated by the solar panels is not being used. In this case, the inverter may draw some power from the grid to make up for the shortfall. Additionally, when the grid is turned off manually and the system runs solely on the solar system, it's possible that the inverter may still draw a small amount of power from the battery backup to keep itself running. This could explain why you're seeing a small amount of power consumption even when the grid is turned off. It's important to note that the meter reading you're seeing is not necessarily an accurate measure of the power consumed by the inverter, as it's possible that the meter is also measuring other loads in the system. To get a more accurate measure of the power consumed by the inverter, you may need to install a separate power meter specifically for the inverter. As an electric engineer i tried to explain in layman term. Hope so you got it. ok bahi

    1 more advantage of installing solar is that the panels provide excellent shade in summer for your roof. This reduces the temperature of the interior of the house by a noticeable degree, which means that you will be running your fans and AC at lower power. And that will in turn will save you more electricity. This is especially useful for houses in which the upper storey is unbearably hot.

    I live in interior Sindh and here load shedding is more than 8-10 hours a day in summer. Recently installed a solar system and it has completely changed my life. Hmary haan temperature 50 degree tk chala jata hai so imagine bijli k bagair kese guzara hota hoga. So the amount of value the system adds into your life i would say it is an essential thing. Though i have some points to add here about your video: - Your system uses Utility power because your installer has set charging priority setting as "Solar and Utility", if you change it to "Solar First" it will priorities solar panels to charge the batteries (assuming that your inverter has this option). - I have watched some videos online what I have understood from net metering is that it has one huge drawback that is in case of load shedding inverter shuts down itself. Net metering is for those areas which do not face load shedding. Before getting net metering installed discuss this with your installer, maybe they have some inverter which doesn't do this. - If you are from a small city, do not trust everything what the installer says. I visited all the equipment sellers in my town and almost all of them had a low grade solar panels from unknown brands. I had to buy solar panels from Karachi. I bought Jinko 535 watts panels which is a top notch chinese brand. You can also go with Trina Solar, Longi or Canadian Solar.

    @@dusrisoch2690 Inshallah. I think govt should invest in this sector and subsidize solar systems for low income homes especially in sindh and balochistan. There are small small populations in remote areas which don't have electricity. Providing them electricity is also not feasible because it is going to cost billions of rupees in just distribution lines. So I always think if we provide 1000 watt systems to these homes it will improve their lives 10x.

    @@muhammadfarooq1681 Buy any latest model from top solar manufacturers (Jinko, Longi, Canadian, Trina...). Current technology is Mono Perk half cut 500+ watt panels. I have jinko 535 watt but Longi Solar has recently launched 670 watt panels. If I want to buy now, i will try my best to get my hands on Longi 670 watt otherwise i will go for Jinko 535 watt. How to recognise original panel? - Try buying from official distributors. Jinko has distributors in 3 major cities (www.jinkosolar.com/en/site/contactus). I bought from Karachi which is 600+ kilometers away and i think it is completely worth the hustle. Jinko distributor karachi staff is very active on whatsapp. - After physically observing the panel take pictures of the panel specially the back stickers. Then google that particular model on google images and compare everything. The stickers color and position, wire length and position, diode boxes size and position, everything should be same. The fake jinko panels i saw in market had a big and too much shiny sticker. Which didn't match with the official sticker on google images. - On original panels usually company name will be written on all around the panel like on black diode box, on wire etc. But on fake panel you will find name on just the sticker. If the name on diode box and sticker do not match, that is mostly a fake panel. - Check the build quality. The original panel looks premium and strong. It doesn't look cheap. After seeing so many panels now i can easily distinguish between original and fake just by look their faces. These are some of the things you should take care of before buying any panel. Do not trust everything what the installer says. In my experience 9 out of 10 will lie and only sell things which is available in their inventory. I live in a small city so i had to buy everything from a different seller. Whenever you buy the system you can contact me, i can guide you throughout the process.

    I think most people in Pakistan will not understand what you're saying about "peace of mind"/ It's because we don't value our or other people's time. E.g. As a Pakistani I will prefer to save a few lacs to buy old model of car. That old car will be repaired, its components will have their lives slashed, major repairs are nearing, you can get stuck on the road when it breaks down and waste time, khajal khawari, missed opportunities etc etc. We will HAPPILY spend our time managing ALL of that instead of spending money of things that will remove all of that from our lives. We will NOT think about how the time saved can be spent on self-improvement, learning some new skill, and spending time with loved ones. Slowly people here will learn about this opportunity cost. But people like you should continue to educate us about things you know are a better way of life.

    Dear Owais, pretty good video. Regarding the invertor, i think the more detailed explanation for having one invertor for a 7KW system is that the system performs at 70% capacity, i.e. it will effectively produce 4.9KW (7*0.7), therefore a 5KW invertor will be optimal for a 7KW system. Also, I completely agree with your ROI thoughts. the ROI is not only the hard numbers in money terms, it is also the invisible or soft values such as peace of mind, ability to continue with your life uninterrupted by power failures, etc. cheers

    Very informative and well structured video bro, great work 👍🏼 will be looking forward to a 1 year review. It will be useful if next time you can kindly share the monthly kwh generated and lost (that you could have put back in the grid) and your monthly kwh usage to get a better picture, also if you could combine that with the tariff rate that would be cherry on the cake. Good luck 👍🏼

  • @DesiAbroadofficial

    @DesiAbroadofficial

    3 жыл бұрын

    You sure did bro, but as you yourself mentioned it's not super useful information as at the time you were not living there and later were having work done so more kwh were being used in certain months. Comparison to the previous years would be useful once you have lived and used solar for may be 2 years. I felt the kwh part was a bit rushed and may be people would like to know more about how much kwh (units) a normal small family would use on monthly basis (obviously it will vary depending on location and circumstances) and how much your 10kw system can generate vs how much do you actually use as you yourself mentioned quite a bit could be put back in the grid. Sorry for pestering but I was thinking of getting one put in for my family in Lahore. Also would you be able to recommend any good installer in Lahore like the e-wall brother? Thank you 👍🏼

    ♥ Kamal explanation, bhut kuch seekhnay ko mila. Wo last year wali research jis mein 25 percent tak reverse methodology se night pe bhi zameen ki heat ko use kar sakte hain. Means dinko 1000 watt to raat ko bhi 250 watt bana sakte hain zameen thandi honay tak. Is research ne mera dil khush kar dia tha, hope this research continues. Ye ap k bataye huay usi se related hai jis mein ap ne din ko ground reflection etc se pannel ki downside se energy passage ka bataya tha. Baqoul government Pakistan mein mehngay projects lagaye gaye aur aisi deals ki gai jin mein Pakistan ki zarurat se zada bijli ban rhi hai. Is statement pe gor karna chahye government ko, Pakistan mein bijli ki production kam hai need se. Aur na hi proper distribution hai. Solar pannel ghar ki had tak I appreciate k individually lagain log. Lekin Government ko wind-Power and Hydro-Power pe tuwajo deni chahye instead of Solar Power because ye fuel ⛽ ki pollution ko to kam kar hi de ga magar in directly zada effect karay ga environment ko. Iski reverse heat (not taking about rays) zameen mein absorb honay ki bijaye reflect ho kar k downside se jahan ozone (O3) ko oxygen mein tabdeel kar deti hai(means k kam ozone layer aur zada harmful rays resulting cancer etc) wahan hi sath sath ye hawa ko bhut heat kar deti hai, drakht kam honay ki wajah se environment mein ye change toofaan etc ki wajah banay ga agar government baray baray projects bana de gi. Baki agar individually kia jaye ye sab har 10-15 gharon k baad ap k jaisa ik project , then is k sath sath kuch drakht laga kar is k side-effect ko control kia ja sakta hai. Baki again thanks for info/guide how to use these efficiently

    Excellent review Owais. you standing on the edge is giving me anxiety though :) I have 2 ideas to improve your current setup. 1. Install CCTV camera to cover solar panels. This will help you to keep an eye on them. 2. Install an automatic water irrigation system to automatically clean the panels. No need to spend much, just a regular plant water dripping system should do the job. And since you're going to make more videos about it so you should consider investing in some sort of ladder or something instead of risking yourself by standing on the edge :)
