I just got one of these the other day. Found most of the connections needed to be screwed down more, most did half a turn, but the ones on the fuses for the solar leads were totally unscrewed. otherwise, it works fine.

Mine were all reasonably tight. Still got a partial turn on about half of them. I also installed another one but needed to put #4 wire in the output breaker. I had to move the breaker to a different location in the box so there was a straight shot to the breaker.

Would a PV disconnect switch be required also, or would the breaker in the combiner box serve the same purpose?

I am not sure. You would need to check your local code. I do not have one but I have a second breaker next to my solar charge controller. My system is off grid.

Can you please tell me,Do them box's have blocking diodes
