Mamamoo as a whole has been openly supportive towards the lgbt+ community since pretty early on in their career and a subsection of Mamamoo's fandom 'RainbowMooMoo' have been one of the biggest sponsors to Seoul Pride (as well as other queer causes in sk) since 2017 This song was written and composed entirely by Solar herself, inspired by the drag community, and choreographed by a kiki house called 'House of Love' who were also the dancers in this performance How about you educate yourself first before accusing someone of performative activism - if anything your accusation is closer to 'performative activism' than Solar's performance is

@@jxy7096 I think I can see what you're coming from, somewhat if you take into the account that no she is not appealing for legislative change etc. However I would hesitate call it performative, that implies that she is only being an ally superficially or that she is doing it or monetary benefit. This is clearly not the case as Mamamoo performed, when they were still quite new in the industry, at a highly boycotted event which uplifted the creative output of LGBTQ creators. This was a risky move on Mamamoo's side to perform and yet they still did. She has also donated to LGBTQ charities. We should keep in mind the capabilities of Solar as a singular person with no professional political background, she is uplifting the community by platforming them and giving them a voice - one which has been mentioned by queer people in Korea that she has directly worked with to be appreciated by them. As such I think it is a disservice to the queer people in Korea and internationally wanting representation who have spoken up about the visibility Solar has provided them and continued to provide. I think what separates Solar from performatism is that she acknowledges and is inspired by rich queer history, especially those of black and brown people from whom ballroom has originated, rather than coopting their aesthetics without appreciating those who gave rise to it.

화제만 되고 아무도 안들어주면 무슨 소용이 있죠..? 애초에 무대 여러개 뛸 정도면 그냥 수록곡이 아니라 준비 철저히 해서 더블 타이틀 느낌으로 준비한걸텐데 화제가 된 노래는 엄청 별로인데다 타이틀은 들어보지도 못함
