Hey In April usually there are very less chances of Snowfall. But you will get to experience snow in Solang, Gulaba, Sethan or Atal Tunnel.

If you are going only for a day or a half day then don't spend on snow shoes. You can rent gum boots, just make sure that you are wearing good quality woollen socks.
