I wish I was born a few years back and somewhere around so I could know you in person and be friends. Haven't seen anybody write songs which so articulately expresses my feelings which I can't give words to.

Ô Marjan... When I listen to your songs, especially this one, my eyes bleed warm tears, along with my heart that bleeds this lava that can't go out from the flesh... A mix of sadness and anger that burns within... I cry for the one I love who doesn't know if her country, which is also yours, will be free one day... I cry for this beautiful country and its culture she introduced me... For its people who put their life at stake, for many decades, to have a future where nobody would have to fear to be themself in the street... Where women would be the equal of men and not regarded as the root of all evil... Where religion would be people own business and not a set of manacles put on you by a regim at the very moment of your birth... Where long nights would be enchanted once again, glasses of wine clinking, where people would be truly drunk with happinness and love, with their family, their friends and their other half, and not long hopeless nights of tears given to the Moon... Where people wouldn't be pushed to take their own life, far from their country, in order to alert the rest of the world about what's happening since 16 september 2022... Death to the dictatorship. Death to all this hate. May the Sun grant its light on Iran and all its hearts once again. May these Persian snowdrops grow from the soil of hope and pierce this bloodstained snow at last. May your sweet voice, and those of your people, resound with joy in the streets of Iran soon, and forever. Thank you Marjan. For your words, your voice. For these feelings you share with us. I'm happy I've had the chance to meet you through your music. As well as Pallett, Dobare, Touraj, Hojat Ashrafzadeh, and other iranian artists...
