“The Deluge” offers a first glance at the upcoming release spanning a wide range of musical forms and unfolding into a musically unpredictable ode to the unknown. Premonitions is in this sense not only a masterfully told story, but much more a milestone confirming the group’s unique approach towards the genre!
Emilio Crespo states:
“”The Deluge” represents the personal journeys that the members of SOJOURNER have endured for the past year. A deluge/flood is a devastating event that leaves a trail of destruction in its wake and this is encapsulated in the melancholic lyrics, hard rhythm and blistering leads of the track. We felt that “The Deluge” sets a darker tone and pace for the new album and therefore it was our first choice for the leading single of the new album, Premonitions.
Due to the fact we are an international band spanning the globe, we decided to emphasize this in our first video by not pursuing one particular style, but telling the story of all the members coming together from their separate paths while mixing in stylized band shots which were all expertly shot and edited by the talented Oliver König."
Mike Lamb adds:
"Scotland has some of the most breathtaking landscapes and is a place we all hold close to our hearts for various reasons. That paired with the fact it was the right fit for “The Deluge” and SOJOURNER thematically, it was an easy decision to have the Scottish Highlands as the setting of the video."

I was trying to find this video again but couldn't remember the name and it was almost impossible. Searching "black metal music video in forest" comes up with every black metal music video ever recorded lol

I’m late to the party but holy hell am I sold
Not the type of a person to usually comment on a youtube video or engage in social media, but this is something truly special and I just had to put it out there. Looking forward to seeing whether there are any tours planned once the world stabilizes a bit.

Few are the bands that surprises me in a single song Sojourner is certainly one of them.
Who knew death metal / black metal could make me so happy? This whole album is some of the most beautiful music I've heard in a long time.

This band keeps getting better
I live in Russia, but I fell in love with Scottish highlands at first sight. Scotland and New Zealand has so much in common. I like Saor but Sojourner brought the new spirit to the mountain torrents and loud-pouring floods. Chloe is the most beautiful Celtic Druidess I have ever seen.
I would like to say - thank you everyone who has took a part in this song.... It is a Masterpiece ! Special thanks to the man and the female vocals, to the guy on the drums, the guy on the guitar. You guys have show that not only the old and famous bands are able to create good songs, but by your own style you have made this wonderfull song and i must say i just adore it ! Thumb up !

Fucking LOVE the voice. The guitars are out of this world, the drums phenomenal. The lady singing is the PERFECT compliment to the growls. Having just discovered this band (at age 46), I gotta say I'm a fan now. Keep smashing eardrums!!!!!

Know this band from mist of misery. I've not had emotions from listening to black metal for long time, but this one just gave me goosebumps. Really beautiful, wish the vocal was a bit louder than the music. Still, an atmospheric black song (or death blackened you name it) that proves extreme metal can express whole range of emotions, beauty and hope in it, not just anger and depression.
i deadlift to this at the moment. Release the Beast. +100 strenght. What a masterpiece

Thank you! The whole process of writing, recording, art direction, and the music video was completely untouched/not interfered with by the label at all :) Napalm left us completely to do our own thing, so the album was entirely created as the first two were with no other outside input!
