Soil Preparation

Soil preparation for the 2021. Dive into some things we can do to achieve better garden soil. Also wanted to talk about clay vs sand modification and common mistakes but was already getting too long winded. Enjoy and get those plants in, weigh offs are earlier this year by date!

Too funny, I hate using the same seeds as everyone else but guess we will see the results of nature vs nurture

My tiger king has a 12 x11in leaf already passing all the other 50$ seeds up. Making me think it might be a good one 👍

At this time of the year I always feel so far ahead and then something always happens. I had never heard of turkey manure being used, but seems to do well for you. Looking good! Wish you the best of luck this year.

Whats with the turkey manure low nitrogen?

@@frankpumpkin2350 actually high! Contains the most nutrients for manures and is super light, airy, and can decompose a whole turkey in a matter of weeks!

Great video, Travis. I have taken your advice on soil prep. I went about 3 feet down with a skid steer and mixed it all up. I had a ton of hard clay that I mixed up with several yards of horse compost. I'll take a soil sample April and add additional amendments as advised. Any advice on converting clay to decent soil? Thanks, Ryan

The turkey manure is light and airy cause it's mostly wood chips. Nothing wrong with wood chips, I love them personally, especially finely ground ones
