Can I use other sands like they used on constructions sands

Thank you for the soil mix video. Instead of charcoal, can I use perlite? And instead of lava sand, can I use construction sand or river sand? How about used green tea leaves ? Can green tea leaves be missed with indoor plant soil ?

Hi I had ordered charcoal & it came in very fine pieces. Major quantity is in tiny pieces. Should I use it in soil mix? Or only thick pieces as you shown in this video. Plz do reply

You can use fine pieces thats better than solid ones, until its powdery don't worry about it, solid ones can be used at the bottom part thats more better for better drainage and prevention of infection
