Next guest should be Sanitary Engineer. I’m intrigued why the Philippines has no or less Sewerage Treatment Plants that are very necessary for the cleanliness of our seas, ocean and rivers like Pasig River and Tullahan River.

@@TheFilipinaExpat Sa Pinas kasi akala nila yung Drainage System is the same as Sewer System. Yung kapit bahay ko nakita ko minsan nagtatapon ng used oil sa drainage. Sinita ko at nagalit sa akin. He doesn’t know that used oil will go directly into creek then river and finally the sea. My other neighbor try to build a house without Professionals. His plumbing from kitchen and laundry goes directly to drainage system or pipes, only his Toilet 🚽 and bath are connected to Septic Tank. Basic principle of Sanitation is “ONLY RAIN WATER OR ANY POTABLE CLEAN WATER WILL GO TO DRAINAGE SYSTEM”. Kaya yung discharges from Septic Tanks supposedly will go to Sewer Pipes but the Philippines has no Sewerage System that’s why there’s no choice but to discharge it to Drainage Pipes.
As a geologist, this is actually very informative and I’m glad to see the audience being informed of these concepts. I also got excited when Doc Allan mentioned LiDAR and Georesistivity!
Hello, from a newly registered civil engineer in our country! I extend my gratitude to Engr. Young and Dr. Botuyan for sharing such enlightening video content on Geotechnical Engineering, a subject and field in engineering that is often overlooked by many. As a newcomer to the industry, your insights have proven invaluable, motivating me to pursue further learning and aspire to become a distinguished engineer in my specialization, which lies in structural engineering. The realm of engineering is undeniably vast, and your perspectives have shed light on the areas I should prioritize and explore. I eagerly anticipate more inspiring and informative video content like this in the future. May blessings abound for both of you!

Wow. This videos should be viral and should be showed in school or at work. Para akong nag attend ng seminar at ang daming nalaman. hahaha
...and the most important one might be about getting a soil test! The podcast mentioned it can really impact the foundation type you need, which is crucial. Knowing the soil beforehand saves a ton of headaches (and money) down the line! Now I feel much more prepared to tackle my villa project.
I graduated CE a year ago. I've never come across a podcast/interview video that discusses engineering before and I'm glad there is now. This episode already gave so much info and already excited to see the next video. I'm looking forward to watching more of this stuff. Keep it up! Thank you Engineers!
im a new start up real estate developer, I'm neither engineer or architect. your videos has been very informative for me ever since. more power to you sir Slater!

I waw an OJT in Sir Allan's company in 2005/06, It was one of my best engineering experience, and I still appreciate til now.
It definitely sparked an interest, engineers! I’m a nurse but I found this discussion very interesting and informative! Glad I dropped by :)
This is a content that would benefit both technical and non-technical people to understand more the importance of engineering and other professions in the construction sector. Thank you for all this information and hopefully mas marami pang ganitong content ang i-publish. 🙌🏽
I'm no engineer but I can watch this over and over. Kudos, Slater! Very informative 👏

Mahusay si Doc, at salamat Engr. Young bringing this topic into light...nag worry lang tuloy ako about my house's foundation.
The initial part of the talk reminds me so much of FLW's Waterfall House. I love the analogies from Dr. Botuyan!
This is very informative, thank you for guesting Mr. Botuyan.
Thank you Engr. Slater for collaborating with Dr. Allan a very helpful talk. Now I can initially investigate a site before conceptualizing my design and submit it for further geotech investigation. Now I understand that you can't dig or excavate a septic tank nearest column of the building at least provide a safe distance in between. Thank you and see you s..later on the NatCon.
Dudeeee that was big brain, sobrang dami ng natutunan ko. As an architecture student this will help me to consider a lot of things in designing lalo na sa mga slope lot, very helpful and knowledgeable. Grabe ngayon ko lang nalaman na when the tree is slant high tendency na prone to flooding sya😯 hope to have more videos na like this, yung advices na galing talaga sa best experts na binubusog ka sa new learnings💗💓
