Addressing "Farsi" as you have in your statement, is both sentimentally and linguistically perfectly fine and appropriate. What is erroneous in this regard, is the regrettable tarnished residual by-product of the inappropriate and incompatible mingling and unwelcomed meddling (being overly kind and generous here!) by Arabs, whose mispronunciation condemned the true form of "Parsi" - (Paarsee, phonetically correct) into what has been officially recognised as Farsi! This is one anomaly that we, the Persians, will undoubtedly overcome and purge ourselves of their toxic impositions. ...and, we will, if not in this, or the next, but most certainly, in the lifespan of the generations of Persians/Iranians as yet unborn, we shall! We will once again have our language, officially known as "Paarsee". …even, the good ol’ Uncle Google, would tell you as much: The core ethnic group of peoples in ancient Persia were "Paarsaa" - later shortened to “Paars”. Their language; "Paarsee". "Persian" deriving from "Persa" for "Paarsaa", via the Greeks, and evolving in westwards journey as follows: ("Persia" - Latin; "Persien" - Old French, and "Persian" - Middle English) PS. It's amazing that you could tell the difference! I didn't think someone who didn't speak the language could tell that she's singing in an accent. Edit; This is in fact a folklore song that she's sung in a modern way, but the song itself and the melody is much older.

I love the song, it's one step towards persian speaking new school. I hate it when people claim, "real music was made in the good ol' days". I agree, there are some legends from before whose music will affect us forever, but that doesn't mean it always has to stay the same. Music evolves too and in my opinion it is a great song. Barikala

Whoever says she is spoiled by the west is an idiot who is completely misunderstanding who she is. She left Iran at age 5 and is more fluent in Farsi than a lot of other people. She also demonstrates how someone can be covered in tattoos yet be so classy and stylish. She is elegant, creative , stylish and beautiful. Way better than the trash being produced by the iranian music industry in L.A. Has anyone else noticed how superior the iranian-europian artists are creatively to the cookie cutter "musicians" in North America? They bring a new angle instead of imitating the american rap culture or sticking to the mindless "shis-o-hasht" music that sounds so dated and unimaginative. Proud of you Sogand. Keep doing what you do, you are simply awesome.

Iranische Pop Musik ist nur Kak , es kommt immer jemanden und folge eine Sängerin, zum Beispiel hier sie wird sich als LADY GAGA posieren und es gefällt iranische Musik weil einfach viel leer ist und darüber man hat so wenig gearbeitet, sie geht lady Gaga nach !!! Aber sie hat keine Stimmung keine richtige Performance, also nur copy von lady Gaga Style wäre nicht reichen!!! Aber naja iranische Pop Musik auch hat nicht besonders zu sagen und Iraner sind einfach schmucklos, weil ganz wenig sie Pop Musik kennen.
