Now, put a hex bit in the bit receptacle and close it with the magnet. You will notice how strongly it holds hex bits. It works great with Leatherman bits and extensions.

@@PostFamilyPilgrimage Just to follow up, I took your idea and modified it a bit. I use two 10x5x2mm magnets side by side lengthwise. They work great and never move. Brand MIKEDE from Bezos. Thanks again for posting this video!

I think you're missing the point. The beauty of the SOG series is they can be flipped like a balisong. When you're up on a ladder and need pliers or to crimp something, do you really want to have to use two hand as you would with a Leatherman? I've flipped out the old original so many times up in the air that I question my sanity when I buy a Leatherman. Personally, IMHO, Leatherman should either buy the patent from SOG or buy the whole company. The latter would probably be a win win. If you could get US made SOG derivatives vs the MIC iffy stuff It's a win.

@@PostFamilyPilgrimage SOG is a brand that can't find its feet. They should be made here in the US. The original model which I had should be reworked to follow the power pint. Ditch the stupid covers that never work. If the upgraded to a replicable cutter the would be an improvement but just keep the compound system. At the end of the day, it's not rocket science. , jus tmake sensible decisions.

I looked the Harbor Freight site and the dimensions are not listed. There is someone with a review that had a picture by a ruler and its 8x2 mm. I order some on Amazon and $4.99 for 50 but I don't have to drive to HF to get them. I just order the magnets, SOG Powerpint and wrench which should come this weekend.

Bought SOG PowerPint last month, and its scissors operation is very pathetic. Metal burr around the sleeve makes this hard to open with a hand. I am from Chandigarh India. Frankly speaking, I am not impressed with this. Even Gerber Dime operates very well in front of this. Hope this will help you to improve.

no, just the magnets from Harbor Freight! They are that strong!

Even the Lanyard ring is too small for regular car keyrings.
