he is a perfect player for us. someone that keeps it on the low and has all the fundamentals mastered. we need more of him in our team so that we can build a foundation and then add some icing on the cake afterwards. rebuild in process

@@ajiboyejesutobi7992 I think he's a bit of both, not only is he a ball winner like Casemiro but he's also really good at getting on the half turn and beating the press just like de Jong, he also averages a high passing accuracy and can also play line breaking passes or carry the ball progressively himself, it's the reason why even Barça wanted him/want him.

Absolutely agree. He's got a huge amount of de Jong about his game. Very similar movement, tackling style, game reading and the way he switches play and his long-ball accuracy is also very similar. Very exciting if he comes to United. Obvious to see why EtH would want him if he hopes to replicate his double 8 pivot from Ajax, at United.

Casemiro tends to go to ground and slide through tackles too often, which the prem ref's often punish. Sofyan does a lot less of that than Case. Sofyan (if you look at his development and stat's the last few seasons) has tended to be a lot more upright, and now favours closing down space, cutting off passing lines, reading the intended path of the player and cutting them off, and, of course, as you can see in this video, he steps across the player as much as de Jong does. All of these things are things that prem ref's love and almost never card, even if they're done badly. His record with cards absolutely was terrible a few years back but I believe he's now ready for the prem, especially coming off a season that has shown how much he's matured. 16 yellows, zero reds. Makes the fouls when he needs to but is no longer going too far, staying in the game and not getting suspended..... Personally, for a DM, that alone tells me he's ready.

He will make a fine squad player for coming season and next after casemiro leaves he will be a regular that is if he keeps up his performance. I like him very much as a player, only thing gets me worried is the prem refs.

But I'd be slighty worried about his speed of play and quality on the ball in the premier league, maybe at a just decent level, not world class. For 25-30 mil think is good value though, and good signing. Also think he has good character, but Mainoo is better on the ball.
