If i want to mount 65" tv should i go for Softwood or Hardwood plywood?

Personally I would only ever use hardwood ply for any project as it’s just a nicer finish. Softwood ply wood work (see what I did there) I would just advise installing your mounting plate and ensuring your screws and wall plugs are going through the ply and into studs behind

So if you make the comparison to anvil, your hardwood is the same as a good forged steel and the softwood would be compared to the cast iron.
