One of the cool things about the Console 1 is that it actually allows you to mix and match things "modularly". So you could have the Neve (British Class A) EQ, an SSL 4000e Compressor section, and the Drive module of the API you show here - all in the same strip. And you can combine them in any way you want. Glad to see you do this review as I consider adding the API to my Console 1. BTW: To your comment about gain reduction - the Console 1 hardware and the On Screen Delay both show the reduction values of 3, 6, 10, and 20 db of reduction.
