I agree, Dave, though I haven't heard as many sets as you have, this is the most beautiful sounding, it's just "correct", I love it ever since I got it. And I guess I'm the kind of person who always wanted to hear music as it "is", and this seems to come the closest to that under 1k.

Truthear Crinacle Red has nearly the same frequency response, you’d at least be able to get a taste of the sound signature for $55.

Another great review and another thumb-up from me! I just recently got into the IEM hobby, and I bought the Truthear Zero: RED first to see if I like that type of tuning, and I must say that I love it! Would you say the Studio 4 is a good upgrade for that type of sound? Would you be able to compare the bass of those two IEMs?

I am glad you enjoy the Red. The Studio4 is a massive upgrade to the Red in all aspects. The bass is more defined, controlled, better tone and timbre, better detailed and resolved on the Studio4.

The Studio 4 is more neutral, isn't as energetic as the Top.

Nice review Dave, well done as always, altho personally I think the og orchestra is a better competitor for the price range. I wonder how they'd fare. Anyway thanks for your honest review!

@@TheHonestAudiophile Not sure if you'd be interested coz it's a niche iem, with the lower pinna gain anti-shout effect, and thick lower mids, I'd consider it mid-centric warm or warm neutral but that's just my mileage in terms of signature. Was also targeting studio engineers, so I guess it competes directly with studio 4 being a monitoring set.

@ScottoGrotto CTM Da Vinci X isn't quite as warm as the Studio4. Da Vinci X has more space and separation. Tone and timbre is closer to realistic. Detail retrieval and resolution is a big step. The differences are noticeable but both are exceptional in their respective price points. I highly recommend both of them.

I've not heard the DUNU SA6 mkii. Comparison to the Xenns Mangird Top is like comparing apples and oranges, totally different presentation. The Top has way more bass impact, more forward mids and treble and a lot more fun factor, there is a lot of energy with the Top. The Studio4 is more neutral and not as engaging. The tone and timbre is similar but the Studio sounds a tad more natural. Detail retrieval and resolution are similar as well. The Top has a wider and deeper stage but the Studio4 is more accurate and precise.

Hi! I came across your channel after checking out your review on the HEXA , and found out u have experience on stage since you mix for church band? I am looking for an iem for my wife for live performances , she’s a vocalist, Norah jones type of voice, she loves the Sennheiser hd280 pro, I would say flat type? And I am not sure if this is good for her? Or would you recommend the dauntless or titan s? Sounds like titan s is more similar to the hd280 pro. She has been using Westone um 10 pro for years and really didn’t like the sound, later tried the ccs c12, but we both didn’t like the heavy bass heavy highs sound(v or smiley u?) and really liked the Sennheiser 280 pro, but that’s huge for live performances , so which iem would you recommend ?

14:50 COMPARISON TO JQ 4U PRO Dauntless is a solid stage monitor but doesn't compete with the Studio4. The Dauntless has more bass impact, more forward mids, not as well controlled throughout especially in the treble but does have a slightly larger stage but isn't as detailed, resolving or accurate.

Studio4 is.a massive improvement over the T2. The T2 gives small glimpse into what a neutral sound is and the Studio4 confirms it. More accurate note weight, better bass impact, more controlled mids and treble, more detail retrieval and better resolution. T2 is good but Studio4 is a huge upgrade.

Hi Dave, now i own bravery AE. Do you think studio 4 will be great upgrade from bravery AE? I love the bravery so much so i have to know is it worth to sell the bravery and get the studio 4. Thankyou

Different presentation styles between the two. Bravery is more fun leaning with its slight v-shaped signature. The Studio4 is more neutral and natural but doesn't have the fun factor.

As far as IEM’s are concerned, logos are fine when it comes to branding but full written out company names on the IEM is too overly done for my taste.
