Hi Charles. I bought the SP70. I like it very much indeed. I may buy one for my dad. The last torch dad and myself bought was a Tacklife LFL3A. It was a nice torch at the time. However, time and torches have moved on, as it were. As usual a very good review.

I did buy one of these, @@CharlesBridgTec . About 3.5 weeks ago now. I truly love this thing! For me. I think the two most stand-out points. Are how it's such a great combo light. Meaning it has both a great flood, and very good throw. The second standout point being. That this is probably the first flashlight I've bought, since the beginning of 'LED Flashlight time'. That has me feeling like I'm carrying a Maglite 2D again. I realize now, just how much I like the feel of that heft, and balance.

Hi Charles. Love your reviews, one of the best bits is you use the same night targets so it's easier to compare one light with another. I'm in the market for a thrower, but I cant make up my mind between this and the C8G sst40, I need range but the added spill on this one could be handy. Would you recommend these or something else for a good thrower?. I'd prefer a smaller light ideally more the C8G sst40 size, but I guess I could live with a bigger light at a push. It's more long range security/searching type use. Many thanks for the review mate. Regards Wayne

Hi, this or the Acebeam L35 can handle better high and turbo mode before stepping down? I think that optically there is no difference between these two flashlights even though the sofirn has much bigger reflector.

Mine just arrived in the mail, the weight is heavy duty, the strap for shoulder carrying is convenient, the quality and design is top grade, $90 is a good bang for buck I have to say. Compared to all the other flashlights that cost $100+ on the market. This is definitely top 10 on the list in my opinion for the price to power to size ratio.

Thanks Charles for your constantly detailed light reviews. Going to the same outdoor location is an outstanding way to compare the reviewed lights. Got this SP70 based on your review and am absolutely thrilled with the decision. The combination of flood and throw is awesome. Can’t imagine needing more illumination than this. Definitely the best bang for the buck.

Liitokala 26650 (black 5000mah) it's good for this SP70 ? I ordered SP70 :) I have Thorfire S70S + Convoy L6 new xhp70.2 SMO. Does he see for a longer distance (SP70) ? Can you try to change the environment where you're filming so we can see it in the distance? Thx man :)

@@Hmmmmmmmijkokjj The Convoy L6 XHP 70.2 sees 50-150m more than the Thorfire S70s. I hope the Sofirn SP70 will look more like Convoy. Minimum 700m. :) I wish you a speedy recovery!

I'm a sofirn sp70, too, the sofirn sp36 was too hot when I used the turbo mode, personally, I liked the sp70 better than the sp36, the size is big, but because it heats up well,

Does this flashlight have memory? ie. it stays on the last brightness setting when you power cycle the rear switch. That’s one of those things I dislike about all the cheaper lights, you are blinded with the brightest mode every time you turn it back on. Thanks!!

@@CharlesBridgTec thanks for the reply, I tried to reset the flashlight by removing cap and holding the power button and screwing the cap back in. It made some flashes but still doing the same thing. I tried doing other things you mentioned, last thing to try is getting a new battery or flashlight :/ I feel like I might be stuck in some kind of mode based of the andruil ui of the flashlight but not sure how to get out of it.

i was thinkig will go easily in turbo for 200m coz that thai guy showed in his video [with his basketball field] but mine goes the bright light only to 80meters - to 200 goes some faint light only [i took 6500 also]@@CharlesBridgTec

it arrived but i am disapointed; is far from your as i see here; mine pshes the bright light [and is not even bright at all!] to 70-80 meters max and some light to 120 m and also some faint to 180-200m [i used 6200mah vapcell inr and litokala yellow 5100; what battery you recomend? shockli or keepower?; as i see you used sofirn? then it seems is better then those of mine...?@@CharlesBridgTec
