As much as I LOVE Sofirn and will ALWAYS give my business to them I feel Olight won this battle. Still would go with the C8 and not Olight due to their cost. Thank you for all the flashlight reviews!

I just received my sofirn C8L and im loving it, just the 2nd click it has a nice light already? I have bunch of sofirn.. Q8 plus, sp36 Pro, s11c next time I will buy the wurkkos ts32 😊..

I was considering getting the Warrior x 4 before I saw this light, the price difference is the main winner here but the more versatile UI on the Sofirn is ideal.

I have a few Sofirn lights and must say that they are fantastic lights for the price. I would have liked to put this one against the sofirn IF22A for beam range.like this review.

The C8L beats the IF22a.Has a much wider spot with barely visible outer rings. The if22a has a more concentrated beam which allows a little more throw but that extra becomes barely usable at the maximum range. The C8L I measured 530m beam distance but what's more amazing about this flashlight is the balance between being as thrower and stilll pack a great flood making it extremely versatile. If you are looking for a tactical flashlight but still want some versatility the C8L is a no brainer.I got mine on promotion from AliExpress Sofirn store for less then 40eur. It had just been launched.

When a brand has become well known and trusted some of them will usually take advantage of the situation by selling mediocre products at high prices to get as much profit as possible because they know that the trust of their loyal customers is far greater than their common sense or curiosity. That's why most of them believe that the products from their favorite brands are much more reliable even though they have never done direct comparisons with scientific methods.

Hey, nice review, not sure if you have this measure but what is the head lamp size? Could this work with a diffuser for a camping tent "lantern" when necessary?

This isn't a head lamp and no I would never put a defuser on a high powered tactical flashlight. You'll cause a fire or burn out the LED.

Sofirn are absolutely beast when it comes to ui. They obviously copied fenjx with the model and finish and also the ui but damn they updated the fenix ui in a way fenjx said they never could, with the hold button to enter low and double tap tail for turbo... genius

So basically now the ui is what olight has been for the last 7 years 🤣👍

I just ordered this light along with the Q8 pro 5000k.

I suspect there's a name "tax" as soon as Olight is added. I would be interested to know the engineering and what parts were used in each of these. I suspect Olight spends more time validating their "tactical" designs and are more durable over the long term. Sofrin can save a lot of money if they aren't doing all that work. Doesn't mean it's junk if they don't, just that i wouldn't trust it with my life for certain use cases.

It's actually not terrible. The Fenix TK16 V 2.0 was very hot 🔥 I could barely hold it after a few minutes.

I will stick stick with my Olights. Great video though.

If you have the money and want to pay for brand name that's a personal choice but I can assure you this Sofirn is worth the same as the Olight for a fraction of the price.

Not same... Olight is worse cause you always have to edc along the proprietary charging cables. Personally i'll just carry my light and nothing else. Type-c cables are available everywhere in the world for you to charge your light when needed. Not that all Olights have magnetic chargers, the warrior x series i believe utilises a type-c port if i am not mistaken and that is a huge plus and hoping Olight will ditch entirely their magnetic charging cables in the future. I also hope they do the same for their proprietary batteries as well so i can one day buy one and give it a try. At the moment i certainly won't buy an inferior light like an Olight with proprietary cable and cell@@techcores
