Soeishi no kon dai

This bo kata Soeishi no kon dai is one of two from sensei Soeishi. It is one of the kata in Ryu Kyu Kobujutsu system in the line of Shinken Taira and Motokatsu Inoue. I performed this kata for instructional use.

    Hi, Maarten. It's nice to see a performance of Soeishi no Kon Dai, and such a crisp one. Thank you for sharing it with us. Just so we fully understand the lineage of this excellent version, did you study directly under Motokatsu Inoue, or learn it from an intermediate sensei, and if so whom? (The genealogy of kata is an interest of mine.)

    Hello Rick, First I have to thank you for your nice words. I learned this kata from my teacher shihan Wim van Leur who was a direct student of Gansho Inoue.
